So it's well known now that WoW's subscriber base hit 11.5 million and since then has stayed break even since 2008. Since 2008 there has been some mass bans... and we all know that 72 hour suspensions that lead to bans still occur with some frequency. But I get this feeling that as long as WoW is in danger of dipping below their 10-11 million benchmark we're all a little bit safer. Back in the Glider/Innerspace days Blizzard didn't blink an eye dropping a mass ban on 100,000+ accounts. I have a feeling the last couple mass bans didn't come close to the old glory days. I have no real facts to back this up... just a feeling. Almost like Blizzard is willing to turn a bit of a blind eye to casual botting. They still actively data mine to nail the tard rockets running 24/7 and speedhack... but if you're reasonable about your botting it seems almost hard to get banned. Thoughts and opinions welcome as always.
Casual botter are more apt to quit after a ban. The people who only bot to safe a bit of time farming and grinding. It's pretty clear they're after the pros... and part of it is they know they'll go drop $100 or so on new keys.
