Hey guys, this may be the wrong place to ask this here (but since i use GB, and the problem has i think stemmed from GB, im going to do so anyway ) Well, ive been using GB for like a week now (probably like 8 hours a day of farming) and recently, within the past few days, i come back home/ wake up to check my bot and my computer screen is completely white... and it stays white until i force restart the computer. I was just wondering if anyone has had a problem like this? i am using a fairly decent gaming laptop and even a fan to prevent from overheating...so im not really sure what kind of problem it may be. if anyone has any suggestions, i'd greatly appreciate it =) tl;dr: screen turns white after few hours of botting and am forced to restart computer. why!?! thanks!
Does it only happend when you are afk or does it happend when you are at the pc to?? Ive nevver heard of white screen... only seen my own grafig card burn slowly off.. when it does that.. after it have ben on for a while. the screen turns White/Gray lines down.... May be you grafic card is gonna burn of soon??
Sound's like your GFX card is failing, my pc restarted itself every 5 minutes for 5 day's before it melted which was weird lol (ATI Radeon never buy only had it for 2 month before it died *cry*)
hmm interesting, yeah it only happens when im afk...its weird because i have WoW set at the lowest settings; my GFX card is a geforce 9800m gts so it should be able to handle WoW, to say the least...
Its definitely the card's temperature..) Just try to clean your cooling system (fans etc.) with a vaccum cleaner or blow the dust away as good as you can.. (BE CAREFUL WITH THE HARDWARE THOUGH!) Had this happen for a long time on my old computer.. And dont overdo it.. If you bot too much and this happens many times your hardware will ultimately fuck up some time.. Edit: A good solution is to find a program like SpeedFan and increase your fan's speed for the time being.. Could easily solve your problem but might be a little disturbing if youre trying to sleep xD
Even though you gave warning I am going to have to say NEVER use a vacuum cleaner on or near PC components as you risk frying them.
is this a laptop? it happens to me often cause laptops suk for multibots and gfx cards. yea just clean the laptop if this is desktop, that be weird i only got 9800gtx and it runs flawlessly 24/7 - unlike my lamo laptop
hey guys, so i fixed the problem yesterday... so i tried cleaning out the computer and all that jazz but the problem still persisted. so, i did a little google research and i came across a forum for 'runscape' botting and people were having similar issues lol. the way they fixed it was to go under task manager and change the (bots) process priority from normal to 'realtime.' i really have no idea what that meant or what it would do, but i tried it yesterday and it worked. so...who knows lol. but thank you all for your help!
sounds like putting it in realtime gives it max priority so if other things are using up resources, the bot takes priority
