      Dear community,

This post comes from someone who is probably unbelievably paranoid concerning banning, but I try to avoid this as much as possible. Even though I know that botting always carries a risk, I don't think it's intelligent to deliberately test the fates by being careless.

As such, I remember one episode in Warcraft III (more than a decade back), where Blizzard released a "hotfix" (just as it did last night in WoW), which apparently was designed to clear away some "replay issues" (which didn't exist).
What the patch actually did became clear a few weeks later: They had introduced a detection software for a certain maphack and a huge banwave soon ensued. Since blizzard people have already shown to what sort of deception they are willing to go to, to ban those they wish to ban, this got me wondering:

How safe is it to use HB when a patch has just been launched, which is suspiciously large, considering it just adjusted a few stats?

Does the HB team have any possible way of knowing if the bot has become detectable (aside from a sudden wave of reports)?

      Thanks for any answers

PS: Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you!

afaik the bot shuts down if it's detected.
and patch? if you're refering to 5.1 we're like two weeks from that now, safe to bot.

If you want to be safe, don't bot on an account that you're not willing to lose.

I got Security windows and doors fitted to my house, so i'll be safer botting.

      Hi there!

Thanks for the useful and useless replies xD

And thanks especially to soulravager, kudos to you.

My main worry was with the patch that was released yesterday (at least on the EU servers?), that included a few short hotfixes concerning a few classes.

there has indeed been some hot fixes updated on the 3rd and 5th of December... hes not talking about 5.1..

1st.. Yes these hotfixes could contain a bot detection tool, Blizzard TOS says that it can do this at any time..
BUT.. The activation servers should not let you on to your bot if they have found the bot to be detectable... You will get a authentication issue.. (winch is why u NEVER use a pirated version of this software)
So you are safe in that aspect... But as always.. There is no such thing as safe botting.. but HB is as safe as you will get.
