So i just did something really stupid, i had a ticket open with 1 day respons time, so i figured i could let my gatherbuddy run for a few hours while sleeping However i had arelog open so he never stopped, and woke up to a ticket which had gotten an answer, checked to see if anyone had whispered me, but no when i go over the email with the respons, they linked http://http://www.youtube.com/user/BlizzardTutorial i also got a nice little wink hoping my adventures would be half as epic as my loots Is this standard procedure from gamemasters, or should i be worried? Nothing to be worried about, I had a couple of tickets in a few weeks back about bugs with my characters, the GM responses while mostly cut and paste also had added their own personal touch to it also. Botted right though as well.
You know, I don't think blizzard actually "sit" in a WoW client as such when they answer tickets. I think they just have a text based interface which collaborates tickets so they don't actually see your character... just my theory though, your fine.
The amount of times i've had a ticket answered but no actual chat with a GM is so frustrating because all they do is copy and paste bullshit.
90% of the times. Now a days those guys keep every time more autimatic. Like appeal from permanet bann. They 90% of the time, say, that they had review our acc and came acros the same conclusion and won't show any proof and will not respond any more e-mails.
i believe they do, once i was having a conversation with a gm regarding my ticket, after issue has been solved i asked him to "appear" to me as a favor, and he did it for a few seconds. also i've been to gm island on live servers and saw few gm's there so yes i believe they are using a wow client just with a different build. and in op's situation i believe he's fine, otherwise he would have been banned already
I've had a gm try to contact me ingame for a ticket while I botted in uldum a while back. I didn't get a ban, but I did get a regular ticket response.
They just usually assume you're AFK and your status hasn't auto-updated to show that you're away yet is my guess if you don't respond. Back in Cata when I was botting in Uldum the GM literally just answered my question in 3-4 whispers and wished me well in my travels before changing the ticket to answered. I lol'd when I checked it a few hours later.
This was before. There is a new client now called BTS we work with. Or atleast those who works with support for multiple games.
