Seen so many pvp/bg bans over the past several days on these forums so I sort of quit using honorbuddy for the time being. I used the quest bot for a while and had no problems...this was with my monk who is now lvl 90 and I have all other classes 86-90 already so I have no need for that anymore. I still wish to use bgbuddy but is it really safe right now? Has blizzard counteracted against this given the increased number of bans going out for bg buddy? Second question......I know there is no skinning 1-600 bot for alliance.....are there any other profession bots that will take me from 1-600. (I did search but couldn't find any, maybe I missed it) I do intend to watch this for the most part while it is going on. Third question....is there a pet battle bot yet? I did see someone give a tutorial on how to set up one yourself. I am lazy so I do not wish to create one but rather use one that is already created. Thank you, Getty
If you bot, you will get banned. Get that into your mind. Its all just a matter of time. Botting is never safe. Never. some wise guy @ eon wrote some time ago, "if you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen" Just do some research on the forums, i'll bet everything you look for is somewhere. I aint gonna search it for you, and i hope noone else does. Lazyness at its best. out
The BG issue has been discussed here for a good while now. A lot of players complaining and bots all running in the same paths, didn't take me long to realize that there would be a judgement day and to be honest a 3 hour ban for pvp is nothing. Common Sense should be a requirement to use bots
BG botting is really risky. You have 9/39 other players in a closed environment. You're interacting with other players. People get banned by reports.
I really can't understand why anyone would level using bgbuddy. I think leveling by grind is terrifying, leveling by questing is sold as the cure for cancer but usually have you babysit it all the time, but pvp? Every time i turned it on and watched the first 5 minutes it scared the crap out of me. The bots stand in the middle of the waiting zone before the start, the CCs (bot? settings? i have a post on combat routines about that..) enter combat in a VERY bottish way, its pathetic. ps.: Before the "edit your profile/bot/HB/whatver": me, like many users, do not work or have a formation in the computer involved sciences. And we are not interested in participating in the HB social experiment. When we bought HB, no one told we would have to edit files and such, see hb.com. /rant off
To a degree, I agree with you. But there were a forum full of post that you could have used to further investigate a product prior to purchasing it.
/off topic Maybe the rant sounded a bit too edgy, didnt meant to, Hb does wonders. I guess what i feel is: we paid, i dont feel its updated enough. I guess thats it. Personal opinions will clash. Sorry for hyjacking the thread. On topic: imo, dont BGBuddy. Use lazyraider and do it by hand if you want honor. Much better.
Don't bot on an account you don't want to lose. Different people have different agendas when it comes to botting so you need to make up your own mind on it. Some people bot for 24/7 too sell gold / accounts. Some people bot for 12+ hours a day too get money / all characters levels / personal account to use later date / fun. Some people bot for 1-3 hours very rarely to supplement gold for raiding because they don't want to farm themselves. ... you just need to make a list of what you want to achieve with the bot and stick too it.
Pfft naah it's fine for me, i've done 20 hours Sholazar Basin mining within the time bracket of 60 hours, posted all my findings to AH, no ban. Botting is always very safe for me.
People level in battle grounds. because the Questing and dungeon profiles on this website are not 100% afkable. battle grounds is 100% afkable. BG buddy no longer makes all bots go in the same areas. it never really did. The bots look for the largest group of members fallowing the smallest group of enemy's. the bot now goes to that destination.
I used to be a safe botter, only leveling toons, babysitting my BGs and all that jazz. The I got a taste of the good life, I could sleep and be at work while my bot farmed stuff for me. I could come home from work and after an hour I could have a lot on the AH. I could make 50K a day at times. I would be at the game for 10+ hours while only watching and maybe playing 3 hours. My bot would run 24/7, save for the few hours when I did LFR or raid. I knew it was coming and now my account has been closed. Had it for a year, had 4 90's a 490 Pally and a 480 Mage. I guess now I can start over, or move on. Thinking about it this game had a death grip on me, I'm in the Military and it was getting to the point where I was leaving for lunch at 0900 and not coming back until 1300, and I started getting in the mindset of "The Military is ruining my WoW career" You need to register and have one post to see spoilers! .
Whats making matters worse is that they're a lot more botters now a days with that happening it just makes it obvious for all legit players. Almost every time i bot i notice a fellow botter both ally and horde.
I have been using HB on and off for 2 years on my main account... I've really only been using gather buddy, at some points farming 12+ hours a day completely unsupervised. I think the trick is not saturating the market with shit. Look at whats being posted and post a few less than that. It's super easy for people to pick out the one who are botting and ones who are farming legit. Or find a private buyer for your stuff... I am sure everyone knows how you manage to get 100+ stacks of herb/ore in a night, but they want to level their profs just as much as the next person. Common sense goes a long ways
I guess my post was kind of misinterpreted. I realize there is always a chance to get banned when botting, thats obvious......and I take that chance either way. I have only been using it for about 6 weeks and I checked the forums every day to see what was going on. It just seemed within that 6 weeks there was an abnormal number of ban posts relating to bgbuddy. I still use it but am very careful and it is a seperate account so there is low risk involved
