I have been witnessing Honorbuddy crashing every few BGs now for a day or two. What follows is my bug report:

What is your toon's class? [Druid, Paladin, Warlock, etc]
      Priest

What is your toon's race? [Troll, Orc, Human, etc]
      Undead

      What CC were you using?
      Khryptor

      What profile were you using?
Doing Random BG queuing thus the profile changes with the BG

List any plugins you were using:
      None

What area did the bug occur in (Please be as specific as possible. Use the minimap's area text for the current area)?
I have now seen it occur in every battleground which leads me to believe it has nothing to do with any specific one. It always happens in the starting area of the BG before the game has begun and typically within 10 seconds of me entering the BG. As an example, I recently entered AB via a Random BG queue and within 5 seconds of loading being complete, Honorbuddy crashed while I stood in the Horde town hall still.

What was your toon's position when the bug occurred (X, Y, Z coordinates)?
It is always in the starting location of each BG

What type of bug are you reporting? (Crash, Navigation, quest bug, 'can't make up your mind', etc)
      Crash

What was the bot's current action? (Check your logs)
Wait 8 seconds and then accept battlefield port.
      Accepting Battlefield port...

Explain the bug in as much detail as you can:
Very soon after entering a BG (not every time but perhaps once every three to four times) Honorbuddy crashes and I am greeted with the standard Microsoft "Send Report" dialog letting me know that the application crashed and asking me if I went to send an error report (which I've done several times)

Steps to reproduce the above bug:
      Authenticate with Honorbuddy.
Set the bot to a state of "PvP"
Ensure that "Bot Settings" has only "Random Battleground" checked
      Click Start
Wait for Random BG Queue to pop
Wait for Honorbuddy to enter the BG
Within 5-10 seconds after entering the BG (again, perhaps once every three to four BGs it does this) Honorbuddy crashes on me.

      Attach your log file(s)
      See attached

Attach any crash report(s) [These may be the WoW crash dump, or simply a .NET exception]
      None

Anything else the dev team should know?
Here is error displayed on the Microsoft "Honorbuddy has encountered a problem." dialog: Read UInt at 0x8 failed.

I have updated my original post with the error displayed on the Microsoft report dialog that appeared after Honorbuddy crashed. Further, I have attached my log for today. I have not used Honorbuddy again today since the last crash so you can assume the last entry in the log is what occurred immediately prior to crashing.

Any update on this? It's extremely frustrating for Honorbuddy to crash after every few BGs. It completely negates the value of the product for me :(.

only happens to me when i have SCII opened.

      one of two things:

      1) Your computer can't handle the constant transition // 40 players for BG
      2) not sure

I'm running quad core i7 at 1.6-2.5 ghZ per core (boosted per performance needs), 6GB of DDR3 RAM and a 1024MB nVidia graphics card. I am using Windows 7 Professional Edition.

This usually happens because of DirectX issues.

If you have a 2nd DirectX 'device' being used (e.g. another game open, etc) then HB may end up hooking the wrong device.

Since the device is 'renewed' after entering BGs (and after any other loading screen for that matter), the cause may be due to conflicting DirectX devices.

With that said; did you have any other games open? Or even video software? (VLC, WMP, etc)

Hey ya! I tried to lower my WoW Graphics as much as possible, running 800*600 and since the change it has never crashed. I ran from yesterday morning till today without any problems. Should be worth testing. Good Luck

I don't think I did, Apoc but I'll take a look around and see if one might be lingering. I'm thinking perhaps my webcam software was running which would definitely leverage DirectX.

I'll also try lowering my graphics while I bot and see if that helps.

So I just turned the graphics all the way down and ensured that any program that could use DirectX in any way was closed down before I started botting and it still crashed after a handful of BGs :(.

      Any ideas?

So this one is new - it just crashed upon attempting to exit a BG instead of right when I arrived in the BG.

      @raphus

I'll download it right now and let you know how it works. Thanks!

EDIT: Okay actually I'm already using 1.05 and have been for a while now. Any other ideas? I have attached my log from today for your reference. It appears as though it kept attempting to cast WotF repeatedly at the end of my last BG and then when the BG ended, Honorbuddy crashed.

Happens to me all the time to :/ I expect to start HB to farm BG?s while I sleep. And when I wake up HB has crashed after only 1 or 2 BG?s if im lucky. Has been like this since I tried the alpha. I dont run any other programs. Only WoW and HB.

If plug-ins are not written very carefully (and almost none are) then they cause HB to crash when a Pulse() occurs during a loading screen. I would recommend disabling all your plug-ins.
