I have a couple of quick questions - what is the difference between Fly and Native-Fly? And why does the bot use the flying mount but continue to run on the ground with it?

      Hi, Vladizmas,

I see what you are describing, but don't believe it to be a profile problem. I'm not quite certain what I'm looking at, here--it looks like Honorbuddy is both confused about the current questing state, and Honorbuddy has also chosen to quit following the profile's directives. To be honest, this issue should probably be reported in the Support forum, so it gets in front of HBdev, and they can analyze the problem.

But, let's try a couple of thing to see if we can get you going.

First, let's try clearing the caches...
      • Shut down WoW and Honorbuddy
      • Delete the WoW/Cache/, WoW/Data/Cache/, and Honorbuddy/Cache/ directories
      • Restart WoW and Honorbuddy

      No joy?
Your toon is 90, and its obvious you've completed the Jade Forest. Explicitly load the next profile in Kick's profile pack, [N - Quest] 86-87 Valley of the Four Winds [Kick].xml, and see if your toon will start working from that.

      Still no joy?
Let's see a fresh log, please.

EDIT: I've also captured your issue as part of this Support forum post.

      cheers,
      chinajade

      Hi, Madbean,

Your problem received a response quite a while ago. Are you still having issues with this?

If so, can you try our suggestions, and post a fresh log if no joy?

      thanks!

      Hi, Damoiscrazy,

This sure looks like a caching issue. Did you clean all three caches? The WoW/Cache/, WoW/Data/Cache/, and Honorbuddy/Cache/ directories.

This is the second time I've seen a user report an issue similar to this--we may have a new Honorbuddy .523 bug developing. But, I'd need to see a few more logs with this problem before a pattern is established. I've also seen it suggested there might be some phasing problems in WoW.

Indeed, your toon is trying to pick up The Search for the Hidden Master from Xaio. Are you saying you know this quest has been completed, or that Xaio is just not offering the quest?

The only thing I can offer at this time is to try the full cache-cleaning procedure again:
      • Shut down WoW and Honorbuddy
      • Delete the WoW/Cache/, WoW/Data/Cache/, and Honorbuddy/Cache/ directories
      • Restart WoW and Honorbuddy
All I can tell you is this is not a profile issue. I'll try to keep thinking of other possible work-arounds, but am coming up empty at this time. You may want to consider posting your problem in the Support forum. If a pattern starts to develop, it should come to the attention of the BosslandGmbH employees over there.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

      cheers,
      chinajade

      Hi, Freddy12,

The issue with Forward Commander Kingston looks like the classic caching issue--you've completed the quest, but Honorbuddy is not registering it as such. <sigh> We need to fix that first...

If you want to help HBdev squish this bug once and for all:
      • Go to the HB/Cache directory and find the #######.cqc file(s)
      • Since the forum won't allow *.cqc to be directly uploaded, Zip the *.cqc files along with your log
      • Upload the Zipped file to a Support issue with a short description of the problem you encountered
To get you going again, here's how to repair the cache issue:
      • Shut down WoW and Honorbuddy
      • Delete the WoW/Cache/, WoW/Data/Cache/, and Honorbuddy/Cache/ directories
      • Restart WoW and Honorbuddy
Caches can get corrupted a few of ways:
      • You switch toons, or do a quick log out/in, without restarting Honorbuddy
      • You simultaneously run multiple sessions of Honorbuddy from the same directory on disk
      • There are other (user caused) triggers, but these are the most common.
The Zangermarsh checkpoint doesn't occur until level 62. Honorbuddy does not automatically move you ahead to the next checkpoint when you ding. To force checkpoint re-evaluation after you ding to 62, hit Honorbuddy's "Stop" button, then when it stops, hit Honorbuddy's "Start" button.

EDIT: I've also captured your issue as part of this Support forum post.

      cheers,

      Hi, Yoblack2 and Spainishguy,

Kick's profiles are not designed to only look quest items. If you like that feature, you probably want to look at Cava's profile pack (questing). I believe he's designed his profile pack to do precisely that.

      cheers,

      Hi, Blimeyfate,

What you're describing is not a profile issue, and really belongs in the Support forum. Its a caching issue, and the following information should get you going again...

I'm using this from level 85-90(currently level 88) and it's smooth, the only issues I have had is attacking players, especially level 90s which is extremely annoying. If not attacking them, the bot tends to attack their pets which makes them attack me. There's also a minor ''bug'' that it keeps getting full quest log and stops the bot when all the quests was started by the bot. Other than that, GREAT, I LOVE YOU.

Have you reinstalled the bot recently? If its skipping quests, or just flying to then heading on, the number 1 reason is because you have not reinstalled or cleaned out your cache folder recently (or well enough).

This log is for August Celestials, far as I can tell. It was doing Blade for a Blade before a huge exception error from the bot occured, and then the game was closed. (Or logged out) One or the other but not by the bot. But then it looks like you restarted the bot 30 mins later and it failed due to auth invalid, which is likely because wow closed and you attempted to use the same login, or the bot lost connection and wasn't restarted.

Other than that I didnt SEE any issue, up until that.

I appreciate everyone who is testing the pre-req quests on Tillers and Golden Lotus. However, most of the feedback is "it doesn't work"...I have only received 1 or 2 log files to back this up, but unfortunately I don't have near enough info to troubleshoot this. Things I need:

      1) faction, and have you ever faction changed?
      2) What quest is the bot attempting (if it gives the message) and/or where is it trying to fly to?
      3) Please Please Please send me log files! I need to see where it THINKS you need to do quests!
      4) Did you grind to 90 or quest to 90 (not really a big thing but it helps a little in the questing aspect)
      5) Have you ever done the dailies on this character, and/or has your character done the prereqs using my profile?
      6) If/When you swap characters, do you close and open the bot?
      7) Is this problem intermittent or is it reproducable everytime?

From what I can see, if it says you haven't done the pre-reqs, its because the bot is reporting back "You never did the final quest on that set". I tried to make that the check, so that it would skip optional quests, but now it seems a choice few of you are having this problem. I, myself, have yet to have this bug happen, so I need to know what happened on YOUR end.

EDIT:: I poured through every quest in the pre-req line on wowhead...and I came across a hidden Auto-Accept quest, that I didn't account for. 30654 and 30637 are the same quest, however one is auto-accept, the other is picked up. If you received the auto-accept, my profile won't (didn't) account for it. I have weeded it in, and changed the check to look for these 2 quests rather than the one where you bomb the cave (as the dailies start after those two, not the cave bombing).

      Hi, Jadax,

The [Native Fly] profiles are not useful yet. They are being used internally by HBdev for testing the "native flying" code that is coming, but not yet available.

The [Fly] profiles requires a flying mount to operate correctly (versus a non-adorned profile name which is fine with just a ground mount). The [Fly] profiles will not fly everywhere, but only at certain times. This is because profile author's must jump through hoops using the FlyTo behavior to fly, and its just not worth the effort and debugging time to make it fly everywhere. As a result, outside of the flying a few particular places, a [Fly] profile will run on the ground a lot--even if you're on a flying mount.

If you want to fly a bit more while using the [Fly] profile, give the EzFly plugin a look. (Thanks, Wuvluv!) This plugin can cause a few problems at times--it doesn't land/dismount everytime it should, but its a fun plugin. If you use EzFly plugin and encounter profile problems while using it, you have will have to solve on your own.

      cheers,
      chinajade
