I got 2 PCs here and its kinda getting boring to keeping the bots folder up to date. If i run it straight from dropbox will it create any problems? Discuss Regards
In my opnion nothing would be wrong about it i guess, i think you should give it a ago + i think it's a good idea
well your uploading files to the cloud so that's a whole lot of wasted upload bandwidth over logs. heres what i would do if i where going to use dropbox, i would make folders for Combat Rotuines, Profiles, and Plugins. in my dropbox, then on each machine MKLINK them to my base HB install, since those folders never really change they would only need to be uploaded once.
thanks, more opinions please. Maybe a reply from a developer? Or is that asking to much EDIT. Aha, i completely forgot about the logs. Guess is a bad idea. Thanks
^^ i use this since some months. works great. You have the possibility to "stop synchronising" the service. so i ran my bots on pc1 all night, check them in the morning an delete my logs files (30 MB) the i start sync and update all the SVN?s i have. And minutes later i have them all on my main PC 2 and can start botting/dualbox botting and whatever i like over the day and got my settings etc updateted there. from my point of view its not much bandwith you use for uploading logs, cause Dropbox throttles at 10KB upload. But if you hate deleting logs, bad idea.
I have mine in my dropbox. I have a separate folder for profiles in my drop box too. I haven't had any issues what so ever. *edit* I delete my logs like once a month.
if they are on the same network you can drop dfiles between them, click my computer and there you see the other computers on the network.
