Hello. I have a second bot account that is not upgraded for Heavensward...I don't care if it get banned. What is an easy way to make some gil? Up until now I just mining crystals and shards and sell...then I use the Market place to transfer the gil to main account..is there any other way better? Thanks
You could keep doing that or you could run the level 50 1 to 4 star unspoiled nodes. May be better off with running a handful of 1-2 stars to be honest. My server is smaller so things tend to be sold out in this area or the price is silly. So you can make bank with a second character here as I have. There should be profiles for them in the profile section, they will likely require you to tailor them to your needs to hit the nodes you want. Volcanic Rock salt, Gold Ore, Spruce Log, Grade 4 Carbon, Clusters, All three Soils, Darksteel Ore, Silkworm Cocoons (i think, name changed) just to name a few.
hey thanks..are these still selling? I didn't go deep into crafting in Heavensward, but apart from some Grand Company provisions early in 50-51 crafting, don't remember I needed any gold or darksteel..but clusters will worth it I suppose
Gold Ore is used in Aurum Regis Nuggets, I believe somewhere else as well. Darksteel is used in Adamantite Nuggets and heavily used in airship construction. Silkworm Cocoons are used for the crawler thread. Volcanic Rock Salt is used in a few cooking and alchemy recipes. Soils will continue to sell as they are used to grow items used for vanity and airships. Clusters are clusters and will likely always sell though they are more abundant now with the new nodes in heavensward. Beyond this many new crafts require desynthesis materials to craft. Which the 1-2star 50 crafted items can be made in abundance to turn in and use blacksmithing to desynth for mastercraft and fieldcraft demimateria.

Hi sorry for the thread necro. Got alot of questions 1. Will crafting stuff earn more money than just mining and botany? Is it a huge hassle? 2. Whats the best way to earn gil without much supervision. I'm new to the game and I leveled my gathering professions but I have no idea how to make gil. I've seen the 4 things that sell well so I should just run a profile to farm them then just sell them on my retainer? 3. Is there a way to automate the selling of mats like how WoW profiles can undercut people on the AH? 4. How often do these mats get sold because theres only 20 things that I can sell at a time with my 1 and only retainer or am I missing retainers?

Market economy is always based on supply and demand. You can follow thousands of guides telling you to farm xyz but if all do it, supply is too high and demand not, price is going down. Same vice versa if you find something that has enough demand but low supply, price and margin is very high. So especially on the weekend demand goes up a lot as more players are online and buy things. The items mentioned before in this thread are worth it for the beginning, but as it is commonly known a lot of competition is active on some servers. A suggestion is also the shard/crystal profiles. Those are excellent for unattended farming and always sell. Sadly the market board selling side is the time consuming and sometimes frustrating side due to the limits SE has set. You should definitely get the second free retainer and if you are getting too many items you can buy more retainers in your account management page (up to 8 in total afaik).
Thanks for the information guys, I have never really played the game and I am a seasoned botter in many games. The crafting system is too much of a hassle even if bots and stuff so I'm just a little confused. It sure feels like 10 hours of botting for mats is too much because my stuff dont really sell as fast on the market. Will have to see what I can do about it.
