      3)What profile were you using?: [GB2][N] Patto92's Multi-Zone Vot4w and Kun-lai Summit

4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: Default Warlock

5)What plugins are you using?: Nothing?

6)How many hours per day did you bot for?: 12+ two days in a row

6.5)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot? 60%

7)How many auctions per day did you have?: 150 first day, 100 second day. Mailed a lot COD.

8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? No.

9)Was your account involved in gold selling? No.

      10)EU or US realm? US

11)Is the banned account a Scroll of Resurrection or an actual paid account? Vanilla account.

I assume this was because I used a common profile (I did set it to randomize hotspots) and was greedy with the amount of time I had it running in those two days. I made close to 20k g the first day and had another ~250 stacks of ore or maybe more by the time I woke up at 6 am to discover I had been banned (I went to bed at 2 am, so it was running ~3 hours unsupervised). I have an extensive history of botting, dating back to the Glider beta (my original GM was one of the guys who wrote glider so he gave me it free) as well as Pyrox. I have almost exclusively used bots since WOTLK just to do bgs, and had run honorbuddy hard within the past month running bgs, lvling the lock from 60-90 in bgs, and a warrior from 80-90.

Low and behold, I get the perma-ban email within 48 hours of starting gatherbuddy. I got them to reduce it to 72 hour suspension with an appeal (they just sent standard "Notice of License termination" email the first time, and "Final Warning Notice, 72 hour suspension" email after the appeal. It might be of note to point out that in both emails they were adamant that I was using "third party programs" and "bots."

At least you admitted you were greedy. 12+ of gathering is a bit excessive. Did you break it up into smaller sessions? Or was it 12 hours straight? May want to try a relogger to help you with that if it's the latter.

      Hey, my compassion.

First of all 12 hours a day? or 6+? it's to much for one time.

HB and much of his components at this time are time bombs.
Why: Well everyone knows and sees when someone use GB and other components, almost everyone can use HB and many will use it, that's the reason why everybody recognized.
We're living in a dog-eat-dog society thats the other reason why.......

It's time for changes and make HB more undetecable by other users and more charmed ..... take a look at my signature

At one point it did go at least 12 hours straight. That was the initial run, where I watched it and was talking on the character for ~4 hours or so, went to bed, woke up and then let it run some more while I was there. That's the kind of thing I've done for years grinding bgs, but I guess people report ore farmers and don't report honor farmers.

Oh well. Lesson learned I suppose. My main concern is how adamant they were that they knew I was botting. I want to believe it was just some angry people reported my bot for ninjaing a node or just generally being around extensively and behaving as a bot would and that a gm watched, determined I was a bot, and dropped the hammer. What I'm suddenly paranoid of is that they legitimately scanned my memory or tracked data sent/received from the game and knew with certaintly there was a bot running. My impression is that is currently not possible. I'm just scared to use it again now as I really don't want to re-activate an old 2nd account, buy mop etc.

      Thoughts?

Since the last 2 months, botting for 10+ or even 6+ hours on daily basis would autoban you very shortly! The only reports for not banning after 10hours GB2 per day, was if the char was doing much more stuff all the way long, like heroics, raids, dailies, fishing etc. in the non-gb2 time :)
