      ***Notice of Account Closure***

      Account Name: XXXXXXXXXXXX

Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy

This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behavior is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: Impact of Buying Gold - Services - World of Warcraft

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at Blizzard Entertainment:Blizzard Legal Documentation. Note that additional Terms of Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and including permanent closure.

If you believe your account was compromised, please go to the following website https://us.battle.net/account/support/account-recovery.html. Our support staff will assist you as soon as possible. If you are unable to access your account due to the password being changed, please visit our Login Support site here: https://us.battle.net/account/support/password-reset.html

For any disputes of this action or further information on exploitive activity, please visit the Account Administration Overview and contact page here: http://us.battle.net/support/en/article/300515

So one account, i have been using for a year is under my name and my alt bnet and has had 1 ban for the same thing, but it was lifted. I never sold gold on it or bought gold so im not sure if this is a ban for botting (obviously) but idk why it doesnt say that. Both accounts had gametime on them from cards not raf, They sent everything to a lvl 1 same account which put it in gbank and i sold on main. I appealed and got this responce because I told them idk why im getting banned for buying/selling gold when ive never done that blah blah blah

Thank you for your follow-up contact. An additional review of the previously communicated action taken against the World of Warcraft account (xxxxxxxxx) on (xxxxxxxxxxx@.com) has been completed. Unfortunately, we have confirmed our initial findings. The account action will not be reversed or amended.

We base all of our actions on the severity of the violation, and take previous violations into consideration. This action has been taken in accordance with the Terms of Use (Blizzard Entertainment:World of Warcraft Terms of Use) and our In-Game Policies (http://us.battle.net/support/en/article/policy), which all players acknowledge and agree to prior to participation.

While we understand that you may disagree with some of the policies or conditions, the bottom line is that they allow us to maintain a fun and safe game environment.

We hope this has resolved any concerns you may have had. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

I was banned a while ago for the exact same reason on my first wow account. Funny thing is when they banned this one I had never actually used a Bot before and I was away from home and unable to play wow for 2 weeks and the time they said I was botting/selling gold was the period i was actually at work so it was impossible for me too do anything on wow.

I'm a little concerned with the resources and the mental integrity of people Blizzard is using to investigate suspicious behaviour.
