as the title says I had 2 unlinked accounts hit with 72 hour ban today while using bg buddy had been using for about 6 hours.
You triggered a auto ban, all accounts online with either that IP or mac address were also banned. Take it as it is, see you in 72 hours, be thankful it wasn't perm.
I highly doubt they closed all accounts on an IP - that's just insane. I bet both bots were running in BG and both got reported. You would think people would learn about afk bg's. I been in bg's and have watch large amounts of toons just moving around in middle with no agenda and people yelling out comments and i'm sure they're getting reported - that is enough for me to see to say no afk bgs for me. Sorry about your ban, least it was only 72hr.
Any botting where there's a high volume of players who are clued up on what bots look like (i.e. BGBuddy) is a bad idea. If you're going to use BGBuddy then edit the default profiles and don't share them. You really don't want to be using the public ones.
This has happened to me before you are wrong. I am right - thank you. If you have 4 accounts running - shut 2 down. 1 of the 2 up gets flagged - you will lose both accounts online while your other 2 will be fine. This has happened to me recently and 4-5 other times, as well as a shit ton of others.
