just got an email saying one of my accounts was perma banned for selling gold or something related. I check and 2 out of the 3 accounts i have were banned. The 2 banned had just hit 85 and i started farming herbs but i never sold gold ever on these accounts. they just hit 85... The one account left is 84 and about to be 85 and i have a feeling thats going to be knocked off also when its 85.... I cant afford this happening... what did i do wrong and how best can i prevent this from happening again? 1)Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account? Honorbuddy using GB2 2)If so, when was the last time?: earlier today 3)What profile were you using?: an uldum profile and a hyjal profile on other 4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: fpsware 5)What plugins are you using?: None 6)How many hours per day did you bot for?: 10-15 7)How many auctions per day did you have?: 100-250 8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? no 9)Was your account involved in gold selling? no 10)EU or US realm? US any chance of getting those accounts back? I put alot of work into those 2 accounts
Just had 2 accounts banned also, lost so many over the last month and with the price of gold I don't know what to do, It's pretty saddening. Edit: These were both US, Had loads of EU account's locked 2 weeks ago also. Getting absolutely raped atm, blizzard laying it down hard.
I dunno, I used to bot way more account's than I am now, as I'm shifting over to rift soon, I think blizzard are just *****ing down on us way more, I've never been banned so hard like this before and I've been doing it for years but there is a first time for everything really.
Blizzard is always changing how they catch bots. You just happened to be doing what they were looking for this time. Probably it was the 100-200 auctions a day. If it's always the exact same items, and you didn't just buy all of them off the AH and repost them (as this is what normal players do).
just by posting auctions they will ban me? So would it be safer to make a vanilla account and have it sell the items? I would think that would flag very quickly. So pretty much no one can sell items if they are botting right now??? I never would get banned before and all the sudden accounts are dropping left and right... I am in need of money right now too and this was the worst time it could happen. blehhh
Sorry this is happening to y'all. But if selling gold is an actual business you are in than there should always be some emergency funds set aside. Don't want to sond harsh but go get a real job if your situation permits. Me I just bot to do the things that I can't stand like leveling and farming. I do daily cod transactions for my farmed goods than the rest are usually split up into all crafting professions amongst 3 players and we just share a gold pool that is sitting at near 500k and I am the only one who bots. They go run heroics for orbs etc. But like one of the other posters said do not always post the same stuff up. If I am posting the same stuff up one of my toons at a time will post for 4-5 days than I rotate to a different posting toon. All have there own guilds. So when people are asking me to quit dominating there market for a few days I just tell them I needed to clear room out of the bank. Works everytime
Again I dont post a lot but people firstly need to say a few things: slashing is fine - its a forum for F sake...I'm not going to cry about the issue...I mean really...get real. Understand people Understand emotions Consider emotions Emotions generate greed among other things... Greed at times promotes outcomes...good or bad.. Youth may have another view - coming of age and all - want things faster and now...the promotes need and want which can generate investigations and behaviours.... The clever buggers that developed the software...they care..monies returned bla bla bla.... Dont like reading the bans and all but well, IMO read often (daily) and decide... Change, like politics - happen often. $$$ - generate emotions and greed... No issue with the oringinal poster - sorry to hear bud. Whatever i say about your auction posts - someone will say the complete opposite, why? We need to decide....People running 24hrs with no issue....and getting through the band....we will never know Shit it's funny.....the net, forums.....Anxiety, bipolar, whatever the case - dealing with cells(people for lack of words) will create winners and losers....in this enviroment anyway... Point is, you make your own calls, if you believe what you read...poor you, in all cases, regardless of contribution you pay for the right... Have fun and slash and burn my post, it fine.. Cheers Terms.
Anxiety, bipolar - not that you all have issues like this but really, people are like random, like a poker machine playing 10 credits per line on the last push - you never know what your gonna get....seriously
look at the amount of auctions u had lol thats why u got owned. i list some on ah but hardly ever, private buyers for your raw material or make darkmoon cards they are much safer to sell i remember when i used to spam ah yea those accounts are gone now i aint had a ban for over 6 or so months now, need to bot easy and sell shit slower or to private buyers or craft shit and sell raw as well
Maybe the people that were buying your auctions were gold selling or buying related and this just gave blizzard an excuse to ban you.
Polar? What. How can you even use computers in the arctic..=\. Maybe you jsut got unlucky. Kinda bored of seeing the auctions, player reports get blamed. Frankly, you can get unlucky, it happens to the best of us. Call up, apologise for making so many auctions, you'll make less if it's affecting they economy blah blah you don't feel it's a good enough reason to be banned. .
Somebody might just report you cause they get pissed at you for creating so many auctions. It depends on situation. Sorry for your lost. :/ But what was the ban about? Third party software or eco abuse?
200 Auctions every day of the same item? yes they will ban that. They first will look into it, and see why 1 person is posting that many stacks of the same items, then they trace it back to the botting accounts, and BAM! they perma ban all the accounts involved. So my recommendation is to get a vanilla account, and creat 3 or 4 AH toons who each will only post 30 auctions a day, that ways it doesn't look so crazy, and even change the price a bit. OR find private buyers who will buy in bulk, and you take a little hit on the profit, but less risk of getting caught. It's not the numbers of hours a day you bot, I run 3 bots on the same server 20+hrs a day. 1 in Uldum, Twilight Highlands, and Vash'r. I have never been banned, but i have never posted more than 20 things on the AH in a day. I private sell everything else, or prospect/cut gems and then vendor.
200 auctions a day ROFL thats grazy dude thats what you get if you are greedy L2BOT and start over agian
Sorry guys but 200 auctions are NOTHING. There are some people who play this game hardcore, and they will even put more than 200 auctions up. (Volatile Stuff, Whiptail...) just an example. Blizzard isnt fully retarded, they wont check the AH 24/7 if someone has 200auctions up. If you think so you are just simply retarded.
Maybe 200 auctions aren't a lot but it depends on your server's AH. On my server, for example, the AH has always been rather conservative; however, in the last 2 weeks or so, someone has arrived who posts 100's of stacks of herbs, ores, and now flasks, at roughly 50% the price of everyone else. He sticks out like a sore thumb & is/has destroyed whatever market he puts up his ridiculous amount of auctions. I won't ever know for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets banned bc of players reporting the humanly impossible amounts of mats he posts on the AH.
