Hiya guys, Have just got HB and am sooo impressed with it! I think i know the answer but will ask anyway as like someone else point of view. PC A is my Botting machine PC B is my main account that i raid with (dont want to loose if can be helped). Do you think it is safe to bot on PC A and play legitimately on PC B and be ok if im not having any interaction with each other? Cheers, Old Fart
Only if Warden detects the bot will your other account get banned. I have never tried this but I know there are programs to prevent this; however, it will cost you. Let me try to find the thread with addressing this issue. EDIT: Okay, I'm sorry I couldn't find the thread : /. Hopefully someone here will point you in the right direction. I don't think its too much of a risk if you do it now until you find your solution anyways.
So you think that Botting PC doing its botting duty and leveling a seperate toon up on a seperate account and my main running instances with my guild mates will get banned if the bot gets found out? hmmm this would then suggest Bliz would assume that the household only contained 1 person cause this could be a flat mate botting and me playing legit like? Anyone else got any thoughts on this? Cheers Hok as well for your input mate
Ah, I'm truly sorry I misread your first post. I had just woken up at the time : /. I read it as running two accounts on the same PC. If you run the bot on one PC and your main on the other, then you will be fine. They won't ban both of the accounts. Only when they are on the same computer. When Warden bans, it doesn't ban everyone on the IP.
It's never safe to bot ever and you can and will lose all of your accounts if Blizzard feels like it. No one knows for sure what criteria Blizzard uses for banning. There has been reports of just about every variation of botting/non-botting combination on the same PC or not that have reported mixed results of banning. I've personally had 3 accounts running simultaneously on the same machine to only have 2 accounts banned and the 3rd not. You are doing something to try and separate the accounts, but that's no guarantee that it won't get banned. Simple as that.
Yeah but we are talking about two different PCs. Not using two accounts on the same computer. Botting account on one computer and the main account on a different computer. I've never had an account banned, so when I was talking about two accounts being banned on the same computer, I was just relaying what I have read many times.
I think you will be fine if you use different PC for botting. If your accounts have same personal info or credit card, they might ban both accounts. Its indeed a mystery how blizzard bans; you can run many bots on same computer and if warden detects bot, they might ban only some accounts. Maybe they observe and study what botters are doing.
i personally bot and raid on the same comp sometimes (now that i got a new botting comp i will just raid on 1 comp and bot on others) ... but 1 acct got a 72h ban a long time ago (my warrior ran out of food and sat for 20 mins at a time - got reported i guess - which i appealed and the appeal was granted). at the time i was using mr.fishit on 1 acct, hb'ing the warrior, paladin, and a drood. only the warr was banned due to player report. so it is a mystery how they ban
