25/9 Perma ban reduced to 72hour "Abuse of the Economy"

7)How many hours per day did you bot for?: 6hours

8)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot? 75%

9)How many auctions per day did you have?: 0

10)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? Tmorph

11)Was your account involved in gold selling? no

12)EU or US realm? US

13)Is the banned account a Scroll of Resurrection or an actual paid account? Paid

Seems like Archaeology is been targeted right now I've seen a few people banned for it
I couldn't get them to tell me the exact reason i was banned. Since i don't sell gold like the ban was for.
I just wanted the stupid bug mount not the gold.....

 

Did you phone in to Bliz or fill out their online forms?

 

I've sent them 2 tickets they said they will no longer talk about it with me.

 

Well if you got it down to 72 hours that's ok - I would not talk to them after you accomplished that.

 

"Abuse of Economy" does not mean you were banned for selling gold or anything of the like. It can mean that if you were caught selling gold, but they use that and "Use of Third-party bots blah blah" when they ban people. I got perma banned on 2 accounts at the same time, while they were both doing the same thing and 1 said Abuse of Economy and the other said Third-party so I wouldn't take the meaning literally.

I had a similar issue to smlwrnc. A while back i decided to stop botting on my main account, and decided to sell the gold i had acquired on it. A little while later i was banned for "Abuse of Economy" on my bank character. When i made a ticket, they kept going between being banned for "thrid-party" and "abuse of economy". This is rather strange, since i never botted on my bank account, which was the one they said was the cause. After an argument over 10+ tickets, i got a response saying my battle.net would be perma banned if i sent another ticket. Lame.
