I was wanting to build a system with the sole purpose of running three bots on it and nothing else. My main question is: Would I even need to bother with a video card? Running all the settings on low would it even be warranted? If so, does anyone have any recommendations on a card that would do the trick for a good price? I'm hoping to keep this computer build at $300 including a windows 7 OEM disc. Thanks Ryan
lol 300 will not happen my friend. by build im guessing you mean adding parts to a old computer because a full computer build for 300 frankly will run maybe 1 wow account. if you look more towards 500-600 then your looking at a computer build that you could run 3 bots on at a nice speed. be more specific on what your doing(updating pc/building)and if your updating your mb specs and what you want to reuse.
I'm not saying it has to be right at $300. I think you're way overshooting as far as specs go. My previous computer ran 4 bots with Glider and 3 bots with GB with the following specs Windows XP AMD Athlon XP 3400 (2.8Ghz) 3 GB Ram Nvidia GTS 250 And that I would browse on it while botting... Building a computer with those same general specs (except 4gb of ram) even with a cheapo video card is coming in at around $380. If I can ditch the video card, I'd like to save the money.
if your mobo has onboard video (ie: my mobo has ati 9200 on board video) it can run wow bots, it won't look that great, but it can run it as long as your system can use some of your ram I can run 10 bots (gb) with: amd 6000+ @ 3.0 ghz duo core ati 4830 512mb pci-e 4gb ddr 2 but only 5-6 with HB, due to the cpu usage and win 7 you can get from torrents for free if it's just a bot comp, no biggie
Kick are you using Windows 7 or XP? I've never tried using a torrent for Windows 7. Always worried I'll get some stupid shit on my computer. On another note, Kick. The reason I was wanting to do this is out of paranoia for my accounts. I have read your guides and I use your method for selling my gold but I'm worried that I'll lose all 12 bots at once if and when I get a ban. Do you have any input on it? Am I wasting my time separating them into 3 bot machines or should I keep them all on one?
I just stick all but my main and 2nd main accts on 1 bot comp, they've been good for the last 8 months after i took more "security measures" to not get reported
