Banned on the same day. I was using basic honorbuddy to level up a toon without any addons or plugins BUT I had tripwire disabled. So I was detected. My 13 year old account perma banned NEVER DISABLE TRIPWIRE

Disabling Tripwire does not automatically flag your account on Blizzard side pal. Tripwire's task is to kill all HB+WoW clients, once Blizz tries to detect HB via their Warden, so you would be flagged only if you run HB with disabled tripwire once Tripwire Event pop-up, which happen 3-4 times yearly, so far. But most important - Never bot on account you afraid to loose. On a side note, Blizzard do not ban botters since years, they apply 6 months suspensions only. If you were perma-banned, this is not directly related to the Botting indeed, but you were most likely reported and banned for gold selling or other usual ban offence.

There are detection vectors that Blizz often put in place after new patches to detect botting. This is likely to happen after a patch. Case in point: I got impatient, disabled it, was detected then banned. That's what I'm advising people not to do.
