1) Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account? HB2 2) If so, when was the last time?: November 17 ~noon EST 3) What profile were you using?: Woot's TH Mining 4) What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: FPSware Druid 5) What plugins are you using?: DruidHarvestHelper, whatever the refreshment plugin's name is. 6) How many hours per day did you bot for?: 8-10 (early morning through afternoon) 6.5) What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot? 99%. I work surrounded by computers, I can certainly keep an eye on my bots. I don't ever get whispers, but try to be active in general chat, /wave every once in a while... just so people know I'm there. 7) How many auctions per day did you have?: 0 on that Bnet account. 8) Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? Nope. 9) Was your account involved in gold selling? Nope. 10) EU or US realm? US This was a bit weird. The whole day felt weird for that toon. I noticed it was running into every single one of those nodes on the edges of cliffs/rocks that can't pick and spends 20 secs stuck before blacklisting, and lot's of DCing too (it was trying to download the patch and I forgot to disable in-game downloading, oops). Honestly, bad luck. I've been running the profile every day for 8-10 hours a day for the last two months and never even got a whisper, but l imagine someone saw me trying to get an unreachable node and reported me, then a GM followed me and I had the bad luck it was on this weird terrible day. I didn't fight it. It honestly felt so weird... I should have just turned it off, but I figured if it blacklisted those nodes on the go it wouldn't really be a problem... It just ran into every single one of them within an hour, and I guess the disconnects didn't help save it. Or maybe the reports piled up and they've been watching me for a while, and it happened this streak of bad nodes was what they needed to make up their minds. Who knows? Anyway, a suggestion for everyone (not just people using that profile): Tweak your profiles. Blackist nodes the hard way so it stays. Today I took an hour to go through that toon's logs and I added to the blackspot list every single node that, according to logs, it blacklisted for whatever reason. The result? Smooth as a baby's bottom. No more trying to grab cave nodes for 20s, no more falling from rocks because the bot can't go around it... Nice and easy ride. Now, what should I do? My account re-opens tomorrow. Should I go my usual routines? Other zones (already have a bot in Uldum)? I'm thinking of leveling more toons anyway. Wanna go the extra safe mile and have more than just ONE farmer per account. Even though there's bots I see running 24/7, I imagine it definitely won't hurt to switch them around, just set them to log off when bags are full, log the next, rinse and repeat. Happy botting!
I did, the targeted character was in full heroic/boe gear. I also like to do archy for titles, so people see a bit more effort too...
This account was finally banned today. Over the weekend, after the suspension, I wanted to lay low so instead of farming, I did some leveling. One of my accounts got a toon to 80, which I used to grant levels to a L40 toon on this account to get to 80. I deposited around 10k gold for each toon to retrieve off my guild bank (for flying), and today both those accounts were banned at the same exact for "Abuse of Economy: Gold selling". I've had this happen before, except I used to MAIL the gold to those toons before. I thought guild bank would be safer but I guess not... Anyway, my other account got restored immediately, but this one, after many many tickets has been lost, due to the stain of this suspension. Easy comes, easy goes! I did learn my lesson. Will have to be even more careful in the future.
