Actual paid account I could have been reported but I think it's more like a ban wave cause I botted for a very long time without getting in any trouble, I don't use bot on a daily base
Thanks, it's maybe not a banwave but the number of bans those last days is higher than usual. Maybe a reinforcement in blizz's auto-detect scripts. I suggest not using public profiles or ArchaeologyBuddy / Fishing Bot atm.
gnjax, the first 2 basic rules regarding botting are: Dont ban on account you cant afford to loose, aka "main", and if you decide to ban on the main after all, do it just as you would play yourself, which means using Archeology overnight for 8 hours straight is a no-no You were most likely autobanned by the server, after several such overnight shifts, no need to mention, that with Archeology, others who dig by hand, can easy recognize your bot movement, and its very good idea if you are monitoring, so if you got targeted, or engaged in conversation to be actually there to take the humanity in your hands
Just to make this clear i'm not complaining about anything it makes perfect sense to me to be banned for botting, I knew it will happen one day or another (and it's 'only' a 72hr ban so not really a drama) I posted this only as an 'informative' topic, from what I know (as I botted for years and got dozens of accounts banned) that kind of ban never happened to me this was really 'lite' botting compared to other bans I got. I mean I botted maybe 4 or 5 times on this account it's pretty much nothing, and for the time I monitored there wasn't anything that was making it suspicious. As you said, it could simply be another archeologist that reported me, but for me it is most likely an improvement in detection script
