RebornBuddy has come along way. Very user friendly once you take a moment to get used to it. I personally have had a lot of success with it so far. Mining/Botany and Fishing. Recently started with grinding profiles and it is amazing. (mainly made this post for a friend to see who was complaining to me she could not find anything on the forums, but figured it might help others.)
The problem i see with this and alot of other bots is on the community/resource end. Id venture to say only 1% of the people who buy bots are capable of coding and while that isnt a requirement persay, alot of people are intimidated by making their own profiles, or are simply unable. With honorbuddy for example, you can download the bot, and download a profile for whatever you need... literally ANYTHING. Click start and your done. Sure you can adjust if your able or willing.. but many people arent. I understand its been around much longer, and received much more developer attention, but thats besides the point. Right now, alot of people refrain from buying these bots because they look around and they see lmited routines, limited profiles, and without the "potatoes" to go with the "meat" it ends up only being useful to the power user. Unfortunately these issues go hand in hand. A reverse snowball if you will. Low population means less people willing to share their creations and less resources on the forums = less people willing to buy the bot. So on and so forth. Welcome to the lazy gamer. An entire generation brought on by the release of the worlds most famous mmorpg and its parent company. Anyhow, you want to get more people buying the bot... either get more devs to prioritize a bot which not only represents the pinnacle of botting in other games, but does so for a game that deserves it. A game which is one of the most critically acclaimed mmorpgs ive ever seen with a population in the millions and holding rock steady. Their are several bots around and everyone is spread between them at an almost even dispertion. This is because not a single one stands out to a large degree over any of the others. I only hope for the best w/ rebornbuddy and team. I use another currently and look very forward to the day i dont have to any more, for several reasons. That said - currently they have more of what I need than rebornbuddy does However, since no one has replied and I am sure you didnt post this to get anyones "take on the state of ffxiv botting" I'll try to stay somewhat on topic. How well does rebornbuddy work when it comes to automated gathering of unspoiled nodes? Is it possible with any degree of efficiency or is it too early? Which part of the bot/base would you consider its best example/shining example of capability?
Hmm for the unspoiled nodes you could just write a do a profile and add it as a target ^^ then when it spawns it will go to it. Add in the items you want it to get. My favorite part is the ability to go afk for a bit and let it run, and the ability to still use my PC! while it runs in the back.
