I am looking for a new game to bot. :) This one seems interesting, so how would you get started in this game?

      1. Where is the best place to purchase the game, FFXIV Reborn? (looking for a discount)

      2. Which type of character would you choose for a main character to build off of? (my main in WoW is a Pally)

      3. Should I buy any ingame currency to get started? (if so, about how much will I need)

      4. Should I plan on building a multibox team, or is it easy to solo the game content?

      5. Which bot profiles should I use first?

It depends on what you want to do. For combat (you control the movement) i highly recommend this.
For levelling 1-50 mining, i recommend this.

Just look around and you will find the things you need :) Good luck!

Depends on whether you want to buy it thrgouh legit channels or shady channels. If you want as cheap as possible, just hit up one of the millions of CD key sites out thre (but avoid ones that sell gold/gil, they're usually too shady). Otherwise if you want it legit, you can try steam, amazon, or any of the regular places. Check out the gamedeals subreddit too.

Depends on what about the wow paladin you like. If its the AOE tankiness, then you want to go WAR(MRD), if its the healing, you'll want to make a WHM or SCH (neither are a real equivalent to wow paladin, but they're the only two healers in this game). FFXIV's PLD doesn't have the self-heals of a wow paladin (neither tank classes do), and it's primarily a single target tank (what most of its skills are geared for), whereas the WAR is better for multi-target tanking.

Nope. Really not needed. You don't need to buy gear, ever, and the gil you get from FATEs (see below) will give you enough currency to pay for teleports and repairs.

I haven't tried multiboxing in FFXIV, but I don't believe that rebornbuddy currently handles AFK "party botting".

To level up I advise using any of the grind profiles to 20, then doing FATEs to 50. Quarrymill 20-29, costa del sol 29-50. Some will say leave costa del sol at about 38 and go to camp dragonhead, but the actual xp/hr is better staying at costa due to its high concentration and frequency of FATEs compared to dragonhead. Costa is a smaller area, dragonhead is a huge area - so less running by a considerable margin staying at costa, which means a lot more xp doing actual FATEs. Iirc, xp at costa is about 10k per FATE and about 15k at dragonhead, but in the time you run to and complete one FATE at dragonhead, you easily finish two at costa (so 20k at costa vs 15k at dragonhead in the same time span).

Make sure to do class and job quests every 5 levels, from which you'll get gear and weapons suitable enough to grind/complete FATEs. Starting at about 40 (or 45? I forget) you'll get some gear through job quests that will gear you for starter dungeons at 50, and at 50 you do your relic quest to get a good starter weapon that you can upgrade through further quests (although it gets VERY expensive later on to continue upgrading it). Once you've got all that down, you can start doing hunts to get more gear, or go through the dungeon/raid progression and get gear that way.

Gil isn't really needed for anything to be honest. I've got millions sitting on my main character simply because I've got nothing to spend it on. I've maxed the crafting classes (crafting classes will cost a bit to raise unless you want to farm mats - but that takes forever), which are the only real gold-sink besides furniture for housing. Gear shouldn't be bought on the market board if you can avoid it. It is usually quite expensive and you can replace it easily. Repairs are cheap, teleports are cheap. If you're really hard-up for some currency, you can trade in the seals you get from doing FATEs for materials that sell for a nice amount on the market board (this is where you get your gil for repairs and teleports while leveling) - just make sure to take every rank upgrade you can with your grand company so you get access to these materials ASAP (you'll learn all the terms of the game early on, the game is fairly good with teaching you what you need to know).

      1. Where is the best place to purchase the game, FFXIV Reborn? (looking for a discount)
Amazon usually has large deals for both the game and time keys.

      2. Which type of character would you choose for a main character to build off of? (my main in WoW is a Pally)
If you're going through the story quest for the first time, choose a DPS. The story has enough Exp in it to get you to 50 quickly so it's more efficiently done as DPS, afterwards you can use dungeons to level up Healers and Tanks since the queues are short. HOWEVER, since you are botting, levelling shouldn't be a problem in the first place.

      3. Should I buy any ingame currency to get started? (if so, about how much will I need)
The game always gives you enough, anything extra is for luxuries. If you focus on one class you can have it geared up with just the gil that comes in from doing things. If building all your classes equally, it will take a lot more effort on your part to generate gil, but not really enough to warrant buying.

      4. Should I plan on building a multibox team, or is it easy to solo the game content?
There is little room in the game to support multibox, the most I can see is having a 4 man multibox party for low level 50 dungeons and then having your ranged DPS and healer in melee range because your tank will be also, which you can do once your team is overgeared (no item level synch to dungeon level when 50). It really isn't efficient. Just don't do it. You can't multibox harder content until the bot itself has dungeon pathing.

      5. Which bot profiles should I use first?
Magitek, then your preferred gathering ones. But really, I find it best to make your own for gathering.

Do you have to have everything done for you? One thing to want to bot the game, but to have to have the game chosen, which job, if it's a net or not, pointer to profiles etc is a tad lazy in my opinion.

That being said, looks like others had no problem helping you out.
