Seemed like it was more common to get perma-banned than a 72hr prior to all these tripwire events. Wonder if it's just a coincidence...
I think not, something is definitely up. Way more ban reports after the tripwire. Still no word from the devs. If it looks like a rat, smells like a rat, sounds like a rat, and acts like a rat, its probably a rat.
nah i dont think theres more bans lately and not because of the tripwire. It takes some time to investigate and ban / answer / act on reports. maybe you are looking more at the ban section now then u ever did before.
As webhond said, the rate of bans and 72hs here on the section is not different than usual. Anyone, who can invest 10min of his time can doublecheck it for himself. And as I have read, the Tripware have triggered, because of the US Warden changed its patterns right after the US weekly servers maintenance/restart, but at the same time, EU servers were still 6-7 hours before maintenance, and no new Warden modules fo it. But from the ban section, I cannot see more bans US side, than EU, so ... its still not related!
I'm still of the mindset its a way to detect botting in WoD...specific flags for high level herbs/ores or something. Note this is pure speculation but I'm not seeing more banning going on now than it did before.
And you won't. "IF" It will happen it will happen all at once! One huge Purge of WOW Botters, and you wont be able to log onto this forum due to the HIGH incoming traffic of people bitching about the inevitable
I think TS is right! I think the Warden updates are resulting in more bans and everyone should stop using HB! (well, okay, everyone but me since AH prices and gold prices will skyrocket and if everyone stopped that'll all be MINE, MINE!!! HUAHAHAHAHHAHHAHHAHHAHAHHhahhahhahhh.... *coughs*)
I know this...I've been with wow since vanilla so I've seen my share of banwaves and my main escaped glider untouched so I'm pretty pleased. I'm not worried in the least bit about warden, just conveying my thought on the question the op asked is all.
