Hi guys ! Me and my friend are using buddy for letting the bot to do boring stuf like grinding stuff for our personal use. We never really used bot to actually sell plenty of stuff on AH etc. I heard that every account is under watch for suspicious activity like sending a lot of gold often. Once the allert is raised then someone come and check your account. Now what happened. My friend has made a character on the opposite faction side (horde). The problem is he has no money there so he asked me to buy some of his useless stuff through the black market AH in Booty Bay. So I bought something for 20k gold he put there and then he sent me the money back from his Alliance character. Next he ran the bot for about two hours to do some mining to get matts for his Jewell crafting proff. on a horde side and bang he got banned for 72 hours. The explanation was botting. Anyway what I think is that Blizz can detect easily running bots, but they care just in case you are ruining the game for others. We have been using the bot for almost two years now and nothing really happened until now. So be good guys and do nor ruin the game for others and you should be safe. Ehi.
Thats your problem right there....been using the same bot for 2 years now. Lets say 1,000 people use the SAME profile you use...thats 1,000 people going to the exact same way points, following the same exact flight path and such. You need to be random, offer someone a few bucks to make a custom profile for you and only you and have it use random way points.
I do not know what profile he used, but we are both capable of making our own profiles - it is pretty easy with zaprecorder etc. What I was basically trying to say is that Blizz know for sure who is botting and who is not. Please do not be naive about that. They usually ban you in case you start ruining the game for others or if you bot for crazy amount of time.
