Hey all my first ban and my first post in the forums. Just wanted to share this hope it helps somebody. I was being daft with botting - from a detector's point of view I was playing the majority of every day of the week. (the only times I weren't playing was when I was auto-logged out from inactivity like getting stuck/bags full, etc.) I've been botting for 2 weeks now. Questbot -6-8 hours a night while I slept. Lvled an alt up to 70. Also used on my main for klaxxi dailies.(Kick's profiles) Gatherbuddy2 - Roughly 5 hours runtime (before logging out when bags are full) running duck's double zone VotFW and Jade Forest ghost iron while I'm at work. About 4 hours offline from then. ArchaeologyBuddy - Sometimes ran this all night instead of questbot. Auctioning a lot of ghost iron ore and tol'vir hieroglyphics each day. Admittedly I should have visited this section of the forum before even buying HB so you can save your 'should've been more careful' comments Anyways, here's my appeal; Hello, during playing today I experienced some strange activity before being disconnected from WoW and now, when I try to log back in I receive an error message saying my account has been closed. Is this the cause of server error or has my account been closed for no reason? I only just recently came back to WoW after many years of a break and was starting to enjoy it again. I have not received an email with any reason or explanation and I'm in the dark here. Does the fact that my account was compromised years ago have anything to do with this as I can assure you I am against any cheats or hacks? Please give me some information on the problem and please restore my account. Playing stupid helped to reduce the ban to a 72 hour, even though they actually confirmed that I was using HB. There's some truth to this appeal as my main account was hacked about 3 years ago and I only recovered it recently. I don't know if this would have factored in the decision to reduce my ban? well, hope this helps.
usually it just depends on logs, not so much what you write although someone may have sympathy and give you an unban..
When the account was closed I was a bit p***ed but honestly didn't give a sh*t. Recovering my account and reducing my ban was just a bonus. If I get banned, I get banned just hoped this could help someone in the same situation maybe? they may not copy and paste but it's some sort of grounds to go off.
