Account closed.. WTF

So I just got an email that my account is CLOSED... I have never had a suspension or anything. I just got the faster gathering gloves today, so maybe it has to do with Nodes per hour? I have no idea, seems kinda harsh for no warning or anything just ACCOUNT CLOSED....

Got suspended on my other account earlier last week too. Not even botting NEARLY as much as I usually do

 

I've been trying to tell everyone here, but admins keep shutting down all the threads trying to warn people, I think it's unfair
There's something going on, between me and my 5 friends, we've lost 24 accounts so far, 18 of them got 72 hour suspensions, then we stop using them for a week, and then started doing 10 hours a day of questing with kicks profile, and all 24 accounts got closed one after another, most of them 3-6 at once, I just lost 3 accounts today

They are definitely detecting it somehow, it makes no sense

Well I guess I have a couple questions then.

1. The email they sent me said something about in game support staff but no one talked to me

Is there any real point to appealing this ban? It would seem they saw me botting but an account closure for one time offence?

The other question I have is, I moved most of the resources through a guild bank to my other account, if I do appeal it is it possible they look further into it and ban my other account too?

Lastly, in his case would it be better to call them or submit a ticket, I suppose if I were to call them it would give them less time to check into my other a accounts


Any thoughts would be great

 

Most people say never appeal 72 hour suspensions, but I do, and have gotten all of my accounts back. Since yours is perma-banned, might as well appeal. If you call them, they'll just tell you to submit a ticket online.

 

ive lost 6 accounts in the month of january. they took my last account this morning. every time i get the same message 'we detected a third party program on your computer'. bot responsibly? the account i lost this morning was lvl 77, i play it 3 hours a night, kicks profiles for 2 hours then an hour of bg's. they are targeting my IP because i havent been botting more than a few hours per on my farmers, too scared since they took 6 accounts in the month of december. i dont really care if people dont believe it. who really cares. i bot because its fun, but its not really fun if i cant even get a toon to 90 in the course of 2 months

 

So wait did you loose 6 Accounts in Jan or Dec? Im confused.

 

I think clearly since the new year something has changed. I used to bot well over 16 hours a day and now even 5 hour supervised chunks are a problem.

I am honestly more concerned that if I appeal it, they will look into we're all the mats i farmed have gone and I don't think it would be to hard to figure out they are on my main account which I don't want to lose....

 

are you new to botting? there is nothing wtf about this, getting gatherbuddy banned is completely normal and expected. pretty much guaranteed. there are no warnings or suspensions, it's perma-ban from the start. The only news thing is that since about a month ago they started NOT restoring these accounts after you fill out a ticket, they used to always restore after 1st ban.

fill out a ticket and hope for the best. the only thing you can do is minimize GB as much as possible, 60-90 min sessions, not too many hours total per day, etc. no they will NOT ban you other accounts if you appeal

 

I'm not new to botting, but I've never had an account just closed. That was why I said " wtf " but basically all I care a out is if they will ban my other account, if you seem to think they won't then the worst thin they will say in an appeal is no

Bannable actions Only happened on 1 account, DOES NOT APPLY TO ALL ACCOUNTS.

Want your Battle.net account banned? Go Speed hack for 24 hours if you make it that long. DO not bot if you do not like bans. Don't bot on something you are not willing to loose. To really get some nice botting in, Get 4-5 accounts, do 2 hours each account, therefore you cut down the TIME Needed to stay online on 1 account ect etc you get the picture.

 

The account that got banned is on a separate battle.net account, only tied together buy a few mailed items and a bunch of thank transfers lol

 

Don't appeal. I once lost 17 accounts in a set of chain bans that seemed to start after appealing the loss of a level 1 mule. Ever since, I've taken the view its better to write off a lost account than to risk the active farmers.

BTW pay no attention to people who say you were careless. The single biggest cause of bans is bad luck. If what you say is true, you were unlucky - don't waste time overthinking it.

 

Thanks Hawker. That was the advice I wanted from someone I find it amusing that when I carelessly bot overnight for hours on end its not an issue, but when I do supervise and only bot in small time frames and what not I get banned Just my luck eh

Same. The mule account was like a day old, it had a level 1 on it but it had been in a Chinese guild for a gold sale via their guild vault and got banned. To save that stupid account, I appealed and I lost all my farmers that had been running since 2006. I wish we knew how Blizzard chooses its targets.

 

3 account perm ban using kick's profile in the past 48 hours, all happened between 88-89, 3-4hour a day using kick's profile and kick's profile only.100% supervised. I certainly hope this is a coincidence.

 

I can not say for sure, but I almost think they do some by IP.... I got my main account suspended last week for questing.... granted I think my guy was stuck trying to kill an evade mob for hours.... ( I wasnt watching it at that point) appealed my suspension and it was lifted.

But last night, I was doing LFR on my main while my farmer was running around, and boom. I am on one of the lowest pop servers and never see anyone when farming, so I dont think it was from player reports.

its also possible my NPH got flagged, I had JUST gotten the faster gathering gloves off the rare yesterday too... :s can never know for sure I guess.

Decided not to appearl as I reallly dont want to risk losing my main acc

 

id been levelling a preist account this month to 90 just using the combat bot, it went really well, hit 90 a few days ago and about two hours into GB herbalism, bam account closed i appealed it and got the stupid account back, but they havent touched my main account yet... i also sent the mats i got from herbing over to him (because hes an alch), and i stupidly bot on that account all day, so i guess maybe they arent checking my other account. PS the appeal was successful i got my preist back with a stern warning.
