Well I got the notice last night about 30 mins after I logged
off. I was running Kicks Quartzite Basin grind profile ( yeah I know I shouldn't be grinding.) So the bot ran from about 8am cst to about 8:30pm cst.

Anyway to make a long story short this morning I sent Blizzard a message regarding the ban. Basically I told them my brother (check the IP address) was playing the account all day and we play in full screen so if someone reported me because I didn't reply to there message it was because the UI was hidden. And basically I didn't even know WOW could be hacked and so on.

So with in 30 mins I get a reply saying the ban had been reversed. So it's obvious, for the people that think the bot is detectable it's not. If it was, they would have not unbanned me so easily. It would seem, like some has said, there must be some auto detection on grinding (could be wrong) that throws a red flag if someone is leveling by grinding for a certain amount of time. I went from 82 to almost 84 in the 12 hr time frame.

Here's a copy of the ban notice and the reply back:

      ***Notice of Account Closure***

Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Unauthorized ***** Programs ("Hacks")

This account was closed because one or more characters were identified using an unauthorized ***** program, also known as a "hack." These programs provide character benefits normally not achievable in the World of Warcraft. Such benefits include, but are not limited to, increased speed, teleportation, or running through walls/boundaries. Use of these unauthorized programs harms the game environment because they offer an unfair advantage over other players and supersede the intended limits of the game.

Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behavior is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=25455

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at http://us.blizzard.com/company/legal/index.html. Note that additional Terms of Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and including permanent closure.

If you believe your account was compromised, please submit a Customer Support Ticket via Battle.net: https://us.battle.net/support/ticket/submit. Our support staff will assist you as soon as possible. If you are unable to access your account due to the password being changed, please visit our Login Support site here: https://us.battle.net/account/support/password-reset.html

This is the latest response from Customer Support:
      Greetings,

I'm sorry I was not able to speak with you directly and for the wait you have had with this ticket. I want to assure you though, that I have fully read and investigated your ticket.

Thank you for contacting us concerning the recent action taken against your World of Warcraft account. While we understand your concerns regarding the status of this account, we take matters involving the integrity of the game environment very seriously.

Please take a few moments to look over the World of Warcraft Terms of Use (http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/legal/wow_tou.html), which all players agree to upon initially logging into the game.

The Terms of Use state that you will not "...modify or cause to be modified any files that are a part of the Game Client or the Service in any way not expressly authorized by Blizzard" or "...use *****s, automation software (bots), hacks, mods or any other unauthorized third-party software designed to modify the World of Warcraft experience..."

Additionally, the Battle.net Terms of Use (http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/about/termsofuse.html) state that "You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the Login Information, and you will be responsible for all uses of the Login Information, including purchases, whether or not authorized by you."

Due to a second thorough review of the circumstances involved in this account action, we have made the decision to modify the previously communicated penalty. This additional review took into consideration a variety of factors including the history and standing of this account. Please understand that should another incident arise in the future, it is possible that a different outcome will be reached.

Please review our in-game penalties policy (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=20221) which states that "we must also factor in the severity of the infraction and how often the player has violated our policies in the past. Based on these factors, the penalty may be moved up the Penalty Volcano, up to and including Account Closure."

If the previously issued action resulted in the closure of this account, the account has been reopened and access restored. Should any action be required in order to regain access to this account, an additional email will be sent from an @blizzard.com or @battle.net email address with further instructions. If no additional correspondence is received, you should be able to access this account using the password that was valid before the account closure.

Thank you for respecting our position on this matter.
