Is it possible to get an account unbanned that was banned between 1-2 years ago? I had 2 accounts banned back in wotk on my main battle.net and it's like a sore thumb seeing them everytime i log on lol
uh yes.... i have recovered 5 perm banned accounts... that were banned less than a year but still were unbanned.
you can try, but if you want them gone... just send an email to billing@blizzard.com and tell them to please delete the other accts because they are perm banned.
I got an account back that was perm banned for botting with OB and climb hacking about 3.5 years ago.
If you speak with Blizzard about an Old account... you might get lucky and hear about how if you can prove its you (ya scan ID and CD keys)... and then prove you moved somewhere from somewhere (have a scan of an old utility bill or school mailer from your old as well as new addresses) and say how you've been away from botting for awhile (give it about 3 months befor eyou actually stopped/was banned) on that account and try to BS your way about how you remember where you left the toon(s) or about how many you had... basically TRY to act innocent... don't bring up botting in any shape or hacking for that matter... just mention how you went to reactivate cause your friends convinced you to try the stuff out.. but when you logged in it said it was banned and you don't know what you mean about that... use a new email address (cause you haven't used your old one in almost.... (like half the time between when it was banned and the time you call them) and your new one is.... Tell them how your laptop was stollen (if you know the kind you had then since they do a basic upload of your system config for 'statistcal' purposes). blah blah blah.. you see the trend.. act how you would do if you were actually TELLING the truth.. and not trying to cover up the fact you DID bot and your account WAS rightfully banned LOL
OH and if you wanna feel any better.. the one account i was banned by blizzard for.. was before i even knew about botting in the game... They send me emails once in awhile telling me how the password was recently reset and I must log in to change it. These were not phishing emails as I didn't use their links and I would visit battle.net on a different browser in privacy mode and sure enough the old password wasn't working. I even got a "Free 7 Days of WoW" on the banned account, if i return back in february like alot of old accounts did. When i tried redeaming it it said "This account is not valid with this offer".... My guess, based on tracking the actions of blizz with the banned account as well as those of my friends is they are randomly resetting passwords on accounts that are banned, pretty much doing their own phishing, and then those that are crazy enough to call and act stupid get checked (and usually 72hr'd or banned)... but those that simply follow the prompts and move on kind of drift away from the radar. Yes I know its just like saying "wow he is blowing smoke" but alot of you know what i'm talking about and have probably experienced this first hand and just now realized it... So basically be careful, thos of you receiving 72hr suspensions cause your accounts were recently "changed password'd" and such.. most of you probably aren't far from the truth.. but you need to make sure your not repeating your past footsteps cause they want to see where your going after you reset and such. BE CAREFUL, AND LEARN FROM YOUR PAST... if you got suspended/banned.. CHANGE YOUR ROUTINE... I don't know how more simple to put it..... As George Santayana once said, "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
hope your being sarcastic, its usually so easy to get an account banned for botting back a toddler could do it, Now if you were banned for Gold selling or Hacking *speed clip ect* then yes it is quite a bit harder if not impossible to get your account back, it just requires a lot more bitching.
Try filling out the account recovery form for it. I got one account unbanned by doing that. They thought it had been hacked.
Never say you were botting... I haven't loged this account in x time and someone else must have been on my account. Never ever ever say that you actually attempted to use a hack.
Its very easy to get an old account unbanned, especially from a couple years ago when not many people had authenticators and keyloggers and phishing sites were everywhere. Just say you haven't played the account in 3 years, they are going to assume the person botting 2 years ago was a hacker, account will be unbanned.
