I was wondering if there is a way to add the stat of dps from weapons to the weight sets. Ive been noticing that all other gear has at least armor on it which is a stat used in weight sets so even at low level where items arent containing other stats but armor the toon is still choosing upgrades using AutoEquip2. There is no designation that I have been able to use for the "damage" or "DPS" to allow AutoEquip2 to recognize and upgrade non stat weapons at low level therefore never replacing weapons. Can someone give me insight on this. Or has anyone found a way to utilize the stat of "DPS" from weapons to auto equip better weapons. Thanks.

I use <DamagePerSecond> and <MeleeDamagePerSecond> and I never get errors, though I can't promise you it's taking into account any sort of DPS stat. All I can say is try them out.
