Believe me, I feel your pain. I've hunted this particular pet by hand on a number of occasions. Part of the problem is there aren't a whole lot of mobs that drop it. Don't even get me started on how pathetic Bliz's Random Number Generator is wrt/computer science. A lot of people misunderstand drop percentages, also. You have the same 1/1000 chance of getting the mob on your first drop as you do your subsequent ones. The way the math works, you can wind up doing much more than 1000 kills to get it. yeah im well over 1000 kills. It's weird though ive gotten the pet in zg like 100 times yet any other pet? forget it.
lol it dropped 2 times for me now, the first took me 8 hours of grinding, but when i did it the second time, i started the rofile and after 4 kills i got it
got one after 48 hours. and then i got 4 within 8 hours after that. Ty blizz but still not worth my time for only 1-2k/ pop.

Funny how things work out sometimes. I've been sitting here watching the loot as this profile runs while I am reading the forums and doing some other things for 2.5 hours and no firefly. Then I get up to go get a refill on my drink and I'm gone for 5 minutes and come back and there it is....Captured Firelfy...just looted it as I was sitting back down LOL Yay
Thanks mate! Got me from lvl 62 to 66 and i got 3 fireflies =) sold one for 1800g =) got 2 to spare.. selling the other 2 from other char(s) =)
Leveled 2 Toons here from 60-65 and got 4 Fireflys so far. Sold one for 2k Gold and uses the others for my chars and friends. How much Gold do you get on your Realms ?
Not kidding but i got my first one after 10 min And then had a auction with my guild on the guild chat. 1, 2, 3 sold to xxx for 1750 gold. Cant complain!
