As title. Heard in the past there was chance of appealing. Did anyone manage to do so? How many tickets did it took you?
It can and will happen....I've done it several times. I've been banned 2 times already on this same account I play on, got lucky and didn't get hit this time.
Getting it appealed is about as easy as finding a unicorn with this banwave. GL!! Have heard zero success stories this time around because it was such a well orchestrated ban that they had us all dead to rights. I had also started again as well. Lasted 1 day and banned. Sad to say i am also done with wow. I dont bot for gold to sell. I bot for gold to spend since i work too many long hours. No bot for me means i am poor GL HB Team in fixing this. Maybe ill see you all again in 6 months when my ban is lifted. Been with honorbuddy for years. Loved every bit of it. So many farming accounts banned too lol.
Seems like they are very strict this time. Normally you could get any account unbanned if it is their first ban. But not this time.
All I have to say is good luck. Back in the day when Blizz was more lackadaisical yeah but now....especially when it's a designed move....chances are like 1% of 1%...I don't buy 1% of 1% who claim they won....I say that from experience....Many today say it to get their 2 seconds of fame to be honest. "I beat big bad Blizz", "Don't you wish you could get your account back like I did"....yeah right. Many because they know someone would have lost a main account and want it back at almost any cost.
Software detection bans are extremely difficult to remove. You wont be getting your account back. They have indisputable proof that you were running a detected bot. Looking back at the previous software detection banwaves, there is almost no chance of becoming unbanned. Some people are still trying from the Pirox archeology banwave... Additionally, the common hacked excuse wont work. They have a whole host of logs since your accounts creation which prove otherwise. Blizzard has very good suspicious behavior protection anyways (e.g account lockout from a new location). Having said that it's worth sending a ticket or two, but don't hold your breath.
I bought an account from a user. The user was nice enough to try and recover it so he talked to them via live chat and told them he was away for a few days and was hacked. They did not unban the account. What if you got ratted/keylogged or something else and they botted on your account, you wouldn't get it back. That's really fucked up since they knew the account got changed email/pw and logged in on another computer and ip and still wouldnt unban it.
This is belittling the frequency a lot when I say you have a hope in hell. I have had no luck in the past 3 years getting out of a ban mostly because all my bans were software detection. Once they have that you have to truly walk chalk line because they can always upgrade to a permanent ban. So be careful trying to get it reopened because they may take a closer look and perma ban you.
True. I know some players pay someone to play wow for them, something like level up, but those so-called professionals use HB for their business and then their customers got banned without even knowing what really happened.
