Is it safe to use ArchBuddy at this time? Before you post, yes, I'm aware of the saying "Don't bot on an account you're willing to lose." and/or "It's never safe to bot. There's always a risk." To be more precise, I've heard rumors that there was a "clean up" of archaeology botting (as in, easy to be detected) and it's currently not safe to use ArchBot. I've been looking through the ban threads, looking at older posts, (a month or few weeks at most), and seeing different things, "I got perma-banned whilst using ArchBuddy, this is my first offense." Then, other people botting for ridiculously long hours, barely monitoring, and getting their account license terminated. I know that player reports and suspicion cause the 72-hour suspension, but detection or evidence of botting causes the termination of the account. So that is what raised my question, did they add a "clean up" system for archaeology botting? Or are people just not "botting safe"? Could anybody give me more information on this? Thank you.
Well the cleanup part is not a rumor. This whole ban section was filled with people reporting their arch bots getting the shaft. As for how is it now, I cannot say.
