Don't think there is an ETA on it. So say it's 6 months away and then you can be happy if you get it before
I tried combat/heal bot for sh!tis and giggles last night in 2 with my enhancement shaman with a survival hunter and we went 8-2 in the 1500 bracket.
I smell bullshit. There is no WAY you went 8-2 haha. And @ OP, I wouldn't look forward to it. If it is ever released, it probably wont be of much use as you wont wont hardly any matches (if any at all).
It's only a matter of time, maybe quite a while, but it will come out. At first it will suck, but it will get better and better. The fact the technology increases exponentially pretty much guarantees that it will be possible, and not only that it will be able(eventually) to win against players in the 2k+, simply because a bot can react instantly where as a human cannot. A few years ago when glider was in its early days no one would ever have believed a bot could quest, change zones and do all that, but now its happening. Give it time.
It's account suicide, also you have to be a amazing behind a keyboard to code some logic for a Arena bot.
bots vs bots would be interesting, simply to see who could code it the best. and yea at the moment its account suicide, thats not to say that in a year or two, that it wont be safe, and actually useable
No, its very much possible to hit 2k ratings with bots. Easy? No, not at all. Don't expect anybody to create an arena bot for quite a while. (At least, not any public ones. And no, I don't have one to send you, so don't PM me asking either.)
Without a dedicated coder to make the bot, some CC's that handle all of the situations that coulda rise in arena, you're unlikely too do very well. Atm, yeh I guess you could get b y with a pvp support CC, with trinket ability and suc h, but don't expect a high rating or win ratio >.<
Uhm I think what wpuld be much more realistic is a partial arena bot. Say you get a debuff, the bot would instantaneously remove that buff with the according spell. Like combat/heal bot basically, but more pvp focussed. Or it could recognize the classes of the opponents immediately and apply some buff accordingly or whatever. Would be really neat to customize reactions to certain events and I'm sure a lot of people are doing that already, but haven't uploaded those profiles. edit: "Atm, yeh I guess you could get b y with a pvp support CC, with trinket ability and suc h, but don't expect a high rating or win ratio >.<" I guess I didn't really contribute here. note to self: read thread first, then reply!
It pretty much works as is, All I would want it for would be auto queing/joining, andrun the combat portion. Maybe even have movement turned off, and run all that manually for semi botting. It takes very coordinated CC to kill my resto shaman, shamwow is that good, and my DK with zin'rokh hits very hard. Yeah, it's not going to be super competitive, it's not going to know strategy, or when to switch targets, or to kite, but the raw combat portion of the bot is very efficient, and capable of killing a player just fine.
Its possible when you have an arena expert with all tactics at hand to be implemented in the bot, and a very good programmer. I hope it won't be released. Ever. This is the most serious threat to wow gaming experience and I recon blizz will handle it accordingly.
I am leveling my Dwarf Shaman for 5v5 Arena with Heal Equip.... cause i think that shamWOW is able to handle healing better than me, because he has got the best timings + Overview over the 4 partymembers..
It's just a matter of time, but i don't think it will ever be public. Such a bot would be very exclusive.
As above said, it's account suicide. I have people whisping me, which I owned(by hand) in arena, bullshitting me all day. If a bot can perfectly follow the target and interrupt at 0.1 sec, people are going to whine because it is rating, and that is what people really care about. and it's motherf**king obvious. Also, it require alot of work which could be put into something else
First of all, theres no reason a bot wouldnt be good for arena. Even the default on alot of the CCs would work fine the issue is people kiting your bot. Therefor I offer you the solution of how to effectively bot high ratings in arena. Two pvp geared blood DKs. Honestly I would feel safer boting arena then pvp.
The CC's wouldn't need "that" much work. As combat is always improving with them. What does let the bot down in PVP, is movment. You can tell a bot right away when it parks itself in one spot and starts spamming skills. WE NEED MOVEMENT!
