Asking for support/reporting an issue. I cant log in to HB, on other servers

Hi HB,
I have honorbuddy running in world of warcraft, on stormscale server as a horde, its working perfect, i just logging in, it starts up,
and then i just attach a file, its work perfect.

but when i tried to run it on another server, i play on, "called outland" as a alliance, then when i try to log in, it just pops up and tell,
"logging in"
" attaching to D3D11"
"attached to wow with ID 6148

and then nothing happens.. but if i try to log in on the other server, it works.
can you help me please.

and i'm running in 32bit.

I was having exactly the same issue where HB would not load when trying to select a specific character that I had used before in the last day before a HB update.
I went into the installation folder - Settings - Servername - character name
And moved this folder out of the HB installation path (I called the folder: Character.bk)

Loaded HB up and it came up successfully for that character now.

Using the backup folder Character.bk compared the difference between what configurations where there and what HB loaded as a fresh character.
HB loaded with fresh following files:
ABSettings.xml
BGBotSettings.xml
BuddyMonitorSettings.xml
CharacterSettings.xml
CombatAssistSettings.xml
GatherbuddyAvoidList.xml
LevelbotSettings.xml
MixedModeSettings.xml
PVPSettings.xml
UISettings.xml


Then started replacing each file with the one from Character.bk folder which is the files / settings that were present when HB would not load.

It was not till I got to the PVPSettings.xml where HB would fresh in the similar manner as you.

The file when HB would not load was completely blank:
The file contained following when it loads properly:

<PVPSettings>
<!--The first BG you would like to queue for.-->
<BG1>WSG</BG1>
<!--The second BG you would like to queue for.-->
<BG2>None</BG2>
<!--Set this to true if you wish to include mounted players in battlegrounds.-->
<IncludeMountedPlayers>False</IncludeMountedPlayers>
</PVPSettings>

So I deleted the PVPSettings.xml from the running installation path of HB and started it up again. It created the PVPSettings.xml with the above configurations and started up correctly. Deleted the contains of the file again and HB would fail to start.



TL;DR:

Check your PVPSettings.xml in HB install folder : Settings - ServerName - Character Name
If it is blank, delete it and restart HB.


Or remove/move elsewhere you're character folder from this path and let HB re-create it from scratch; you'll lose some settings but may help to start it up again.

ashantz, this solved my problems aswell. I have been trying to start my honorbuddy for a very long time. Alot of people on this forum are spamming the support, everyone should try this.

its just solved my problem. i been also been trying to use HB for many many days now, without luck. now its works perfectly

 

I just tried that and it didn't work for me (it didn't re-create the pvpfile). It just closed honorbuddy program and closed the WOW program as well.
