This morning I woke up, logged in, and checked my mailbox to see if any of my auctions went through. I then noticed at the bottom there was a notice from blizzard about account action taken because I had violated the ToS. It redirected me to my e-mail, and I checked all my filters and found no such e-mail. What now? Should I keep botting?
An ingame mail from Blizzard? Never gotten that when I've had account actions taken. Always get real-world mail when you get suspended/banned AFAIK. Sounds fishy.
yes but the strange thing is that it actually had the blizzard logo and it specifically said that GM's would not be able to help me.
What did they said was done yo your account? Any money/items taken, a 3h suspension, or something else? I still find it weird to not have recieved a real-world mail. Are you EU or US?
Heres the details: US server, using gatherbuddy2, with the hyjal mining profile. Absolutely nothing was done to my account which is the strangest part, although they said action was taken. The lack of an E-mail is interesting too. Should I just ignore this?
Ignore it. A few hacking programs can make the Blizz logo. But try to watch your bot when you play the next few hours and see if anything happens ..
I probably would ignore it, but I blatantly ignore bans and suspenions all the time. If nothing was done, it sounds like someone trying to scare you out of botting or something like that, especially if you didn't get a real-world mail. Might want to lay low on the botting for a little while, but I don't think it's any danger. I play EU though, so US GMs might have other MOs.
Thanks guys for the quick replies. I was concerned because this was on my main, but I've gotten out of a few perm bans myself so I don't think it should be a problem.
Without an email I'd ignore it. And the first thing that happens after a suspension/ban is the GM's change your password then send you a password reset link so that you can change it. After that, you'll see that your account has been locked and should receive emails telling you why.
change your profile, using a public profile like that i wouldn't be surprised if 10 3year old botters reported you for using "their" profile. now blizzard never sends in game mails telling you, you dun f'ed up, its always done by e-mail or by GM - PM.
yeah i got one of those ingame emails too... we were even getting in game TELLS that said the same thing and to go to this website that looked like battlenet to resolve.... ignored lol
