Email received from Blizzard: ***NOTICE OF LICENSE TERMINATION*** Account: ************** Offense: Use of Bots or Third-Party Automation Software Blizzard has terminated this World of Warcraft license after identifying the usage of bots or other cheat software. These programs (commonly called cheats, bots, and hacks) automate certain aspects of gameplay, or provide unintended advantages and abilities to the player. This type of cheating undermines other players' experience and severely upsets the balance of the game environment. Blizzard reserves the right to terminate access for conduct of this nature, with or without warning, as noted in the World of Warcraft Terms of Use: Blizzard Entertainment: World of Warcraft Terms of Use This page contains details on how suspensions are appealed and reviewed: http://www.battle.net/support/article/6741 Regards, Blizzard Entertainment In my first appeal(in PTBR support), i got the follow answer (Translated from Portuguese): "Thank you for your new message. So... what kind of farming profiles? Gatherbuddy Mining/Herbing or the Tillers Farm or Grinding profile? Doesn't look like you got banned for combat routining in a raid.
Since your account was only mentioned in the ban mail, but not the character+server, you have 99.9% triggered automatic ban by the server, which usually stand after using repeated actions for several hours on a daily basis, commonly used by goldfarmers, like GB2, Dungeons farm, grind etc. If you were banned for the SOO HC, using only CC+ botbase like Tyrael/Lazyraider, then you would get manual ban, which always state the character involved in the action.
I used alot in same day grind bot. Probably was that. Im worried now in use bot again to help on raids.
Actually, yes. Just switch on address bar. For example "https://us.battle.net/shop/en/", switch "en/" for "pt/" for portuguese.
Hi, can I know what kind of thing you said to the US support? Just in case I get banned I would like to know
Is that about what you average each day? Across how many characters? If not spread out properly I'd say someone working the AH took notice and reported you which likely flagged your account for investigation.
Just one char i use as bank. I sent my mats farmed there and put on AH using Tradeskill. But in that case, would be a economy exploration or something like that, not as bot. Or im wrong?
I would imagine it would depend on how they investigate it. There is no way to be 100% sure how they look into things, but if it was your job to investigate reports of botting wouldn't you check out the account holder's characters when they are online to see what they are up to? Kind of a simple detective skill I would think. If they watched your toon kill hundreds of a specific mob in one place, or harvest hundreds of nodes without rest over an extremely long time frame it would be easy to determine who is botting and who isn't. It's all speculation, but in reality it can be just that simple. Also, don't think that other botters, especially those that bot to sell gold, don't know how to spot their AH competition and report them. Sadly, there is no honor among thieves
