I got hit on all three. I did not look at logs for time, but all gathered roughly the same amount of materials. I did get two reduced to 72 hour bans. The third had been suspended before, so they permabanned it. I guess that blizz actually did us a favor by implementing the launcher and bnet chat. I am still able to contact my buyers, and they have purchased me new accounts for gold. WE CANT STOP, WE WONT STOP!!!
Treeflash, would you mind sharing how you was gathering for 4-6 hours daily? All in 1 session and all 3 in the same time, or you had some kind of schedule? And have you used any kind of randomized activities too?
I have three sessions that were running at the same time on the same computer. They all gathered about the same number of nodes when they stopped because wow was no longer logged in. Earlier that day, I bought game time through trade chat on the acct that is now perma banned. I am not sure if that is what brought on the attention or not. I may have been reported and then had a GM try to message me about it, then had them scan my processes and say bingo.... Could be anything but that account that I lost was purchased during the last summer sale, so I am more than satisfied with the return
Even private profiles will get you nabbed if you leave them running for too long, especially if they're not randomizing nodes. If you decide to gather again, try using the Rndbuddy plugin. I'm having quite a bit of luck with it so far.
I think it is funny too, I got away with it for months and on one account a year . I think I did pretty good since I almost exclusively used GB2. On top of it all, I sold gold through my battle.net launcher the other day on my banned account!!!
I think it's funnier that the other guy got banned from the forum Troll poking aside, it sounds like you had a good run. Did you use any plugins or anything? I'm asking because I was gathering on an alt with a private profile and got the automated ban hammer, too... I started using rndbuddy but am thinking about creating a farmy to see what I can really do.
I was not using any plugins. I ran until my bags were full on all the accounts, then hearth and exit. Only did one run per day with 2 mining and 2 neatherweave bags each. Never used mail or posted auctions. Funny part is, I bought new accounts right away, and with the others coming unbanned, I am going to be stronger than ever... I will be running on a couple computers though. I feel that they must have checked my proceses and hit all three accounts.
You should look into logmeout, gathersafe, and rndbuddy if you're farming. These plugins are fantastic.
