So for the past year or so I have been botting mainly for gold. Using private profiles and trying to find the sneakiest way to launder out my gold without getting banned. I have had quite a few accounts get banned in the past, and recently had 2 more banned that I had a couple toons that I really wish had not been banned. I normally bot 24 hours a day, which I know is a huge mistake. I have made it anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks to 2 months without getting banned. But when I did get popped, I have lost hundreds of thousands of gold. It's pretty disappointing, but that goes back to the statement you always see on this site. "If you care about the account, don't bot on it". Recently I found a different way to bot with HB though. Like I said I normally did it for gold. I recently started gearing my characters and using Tyreal / Oracle / Special routines to raid LFR with, and it has been the most fun I have ever had with botting. As far as gold farming, its probably safer and more cost efficient for me to just buy gold here and there instead of buying 70$ worth of accounts each month, spending a week or two to gear them up and what not. Anyway, I have decided to ONLY bot during LFR, which I will monitor the whole time. I know that it's not 100% ban proof, but i believe its as close as you can get. For me, the farming with GB2 is WAY to risky, no matter which way you slice it. The second you look away someone can report you, then your done.
I've lost like 8 accounts, I just don't even know what way to go sometimes don't even think boting is worth it these days..you will be banned regardless of what you do and those who say they never been banned either are lying or simply don't bot.
I'm a gold farmer and I'm not even making a profit anymore, just doing it for the fun and the good times.
Agreed, you can't bot like you used to and when I have 3 or more people look at me I stop botting for that day... using PlayerReportsDetector I think I can strike a balance, since if if I get more than 6-7 people looking at me within 2 days I would stop botting for like 2-3 days (as In, stop botting on that character and switch either to questing or Gatherbuddy2 on another character). I get enough gold for raf but sometimes I have to push the boat out to get 60 day game time cards which risks me getting banned... never more than 100 auctions and only ever doing 70 stacks of ghost iron ore when it's over 40g per stack ^^.. usually I do 35~ stack and 50 max. easy to forget where the line is because I've had accounts banned before but I believe that I can maintain it this way, basically when a GM looks at your account you have to look like you're actually human lol... also have teleport detector which helps.
you just realized this now? by the way there is nothing wrong with botting 24/7, you just have NOT KEEP THE GOLD ON THAT ACCOUNT. since it'll only last a few weeks at MOST. put gold in guild bank every day. You should be 99.9% fine botting stuff other than GB2. like lfrs, arche, achieves etc.
