I have no idea how this must have happened. The bot was running smoothly and without getting stuck. I'll tell you exactly how you botted 24/7 that's just suicidal!
How did you bot 24/7 if servers went down twice this past week with updates (requiring the bot to update)?
Here is the GM response. Heya, I have looked in to this for you - I am confident in the outcome of the investigation in that we have evidence showing that the account was used for botting. I have confirmed that this was not a result of your account being compromised but a result of intentional actions on the account. Please also note that the account itself is that which has had the action taken against it. As a result, the action taken was correct; thus the action will not be overturned - the 72 hour suspension will remain until it has finished, after which you can resume normal play. It is our policy never to reveal details regarding account investigations, beyond the information given in the original notice mail, for privacy and security reasons. We now consider this matter closed, and would not look to enter into further communication on the matter. Don't think I have ever seen a gm say you were botting in a response ever.... Sent from my XT1080 using TheBuddyForum mobile app
Yeah this GM is very straightforward in his response. Something untypical for GM's. So from now on, what 100% AFK-able leveling method are you going to recommend ? Grinding ?
I leveled two 90s all thru dungeons, but I always monitored. I never let it run while I wasn't home or able to watch.
Second appeal Hello Alexander, As you know your account was suspended due to use of third party programs, which is against the Terms of Use: Blizzard Entertainment: World of Warcraft Terms of Use The account suspensions is in an effort to protect our community we wouldn't look to open the account again before the suspension duration had expired. This is set to end on the 26th of February at 5:22 server time. The review of your case has now been completed and any tickets created to discuss the action or account further will be abandoned without reply. Regards, English Game Master Team Blizzard Entertainment Very though GM's indeed.
Contesting a suspension... very ballsy. Like everyone else has said, botting 24/7 is a death wish. Someone's sig here on the forum is the best advice I can give - "Bot like you're playing the account." This means stop every couple of hours to simulate taking a break. No normal human being can sit there for 24 straight hours running the same dungeon over and over and over again.
I see, thanks. It's been theorized by some people that interrupts are causing this kind of automated 72hr bans. At least when I disabled interrupts on all my characters my problems went away. I'm not saying this WAS the cause, but it's a possibility.
I guess you were using Dungeonbuddy in public games with leveling 24/7 right? You were simply reported by some fellow party member, maybe several times before the manual investigation actually trigger!
Why on earth would you try to appeal the ban? If I were you, I would just be thankful that you didn't lose the account. Never run your bot 24/7. Even if someone reports you for botting in dungeons, I don't see how he could prove it- unless your account behavior reflects it.
Sorry, but opening up a ticket for a 72h ban is stupid. If I were the GM I would have completely banned your account. 24/7 is dangerous, but it does not automatically ban you. But if a GM looks at your account it is pretty clear to him what happened. Running dungeonbuddy or Bgbuddy is dangerous as hell. You are in a party of players and they watch you and communicate with you. If you don`t answer or your toon gets stuck, dies, or something they will report you. Then a GM will take a look at your file and ban you. The GM normally isn`t able to proof 100% that you were botting, so they give you a 72h in a lot of cases. GM`s aren`t all computer experts that know every part of code of wow and know how every mechanic works. So they stay kind of safe and not permabann your account without haveing the proof (like selling big ammounts of gold to players you never communicated before, gathering and acting bot like etc) If you then open up a ticket, they might further investigate your case. But this time someone who knows what he is doing. They will check everything including combat logs etc and find out that your reaction time is unhuman because you interrupt casts after milliseconds and so on. And then they know that you were botting and completely shut down your acc.
