Anyone has ever experienced getting banned on a clean account which exists under the same botting account but doesnt have anything to do with botting (like transfering gold from bot account) example : wow 1 (banned --> botting) wow 2 (banned --> botting) wow 3 (clean and doesnt have anything to do with bot --> banned) ???
no, the clean account that i meant doesnt have anything to do with bots (neither send gold nor receive one)
Just as Zicoth stated above, if you used all 3 accounts under the same IP (or even under the same registered name/email) Blizzard has been known for doing mass bans for anyone associated with the banned account. I've personally never ran into an issue like this myself. The only account I had that got banned was on a separate email.
I have had 4 bots overall since I've started botting back in 2010. 4 WoW accounts attached to one email, the other 2 on my second (alternate) email. One of the accounts on my second email was banned for botting (more than likely reported for farming during Cataclysm). My second account was banned soon afterwards for being associated with that same email, but was banned for violating Terms of Service on the previous account. Gold was sent, but in low demands and usually through the deposit and withdrawal of a guild vault. Lesson learned, alternate emails work wonders when you're thinking about collateral damage.
Played on multiple account all the time, my clean account never got hit just my alt accounts so dunno, I never experienced a ban on clean account.
This explains all. This is highly subjective: You have been told only these fact, the ban victim person thought are relative to the bans, but obviously, any other fact, which may be objective for these bans, is skipped for this or other reason. Unless it happens to yourself, you can never have all the details, regarding these bans, and you cannot make all the correct conclusions.
I once had 9 bot accounts hit in a ban wave from using mimic (first bot I used once glider was took down) I bought a fresh account and before I had even made a char on this fresh account it got banned. So I dunno why but they do sometimes ban clean accounts if they know its a botter using them.
I've actually been banned for having 3 accounts on at the same time... well the NEWEST one was banned. Heres my story... So I wanted to set up a legit 3+ account multibox. At the time I was only botting with 1 account [account 1] I also had Account 2 that I used for auctions... Then I created a brand new account 3. Literally NOTHING done on this, I purchased a $20 battlechest that was it. Had all 3 logged in and as I was setting up my Account 3 (Getting keybinds set) account 3 was kicked offline out of no where... I Tried to login and they told me that he was banned for trading real world items... I was shocked and confused as to why an account that literally stood in durotar for 30 mins moving maybe a total of 5 meters was banned. They refused to unlock the account no matter how much I bitched. Just my experience on the subject.
Yep, the most we can do is share some instances and methods that Blizzard has used to remove botting accounts and their associated ones.
Hmm ya. I recently posted on the banned forum for just this reason. So what steps should we take moving forward with this type of thing. A new email and payment method is the easiest part, but what about hardware ID? Perhaps it's just plain detected for me. They seem to get me every single time no matter what I do, it's very frustrating. I don't auction, pvp, or even bot without actually moving it myself and yet they just hammer me.
