Hello. I am posting this since I have a question about the relationship b/w wow background download and banwave. We had a background download during last 12 hrs. As far as I have experienced, banwave has been always followed after; 1. Wow background download 2. Tripwire triggered on HB 3. Banwave 4. New HB released. And we have had normally 20day timeframe from No.1 to 4 I am not sure, but never got my acc banned because I have avoid to use HB during this time. Do you guys have any more idea to complete this theory? Thanks.
The Patch 7.2 is near, aka The battle.net client needs to pre-download the whole 7.2 patch - people said its huge - ~3.5GB or so. Regarding your list: The 1-2 are not related to 3+4 indeed. WoW download stuff on daily basis. Last year even the Tripwire fired several times (around the summer), but both does not lead to the banwave. Point 3 is always around the corner - We have seen quite a few banwaves recently, no doubts, and we will most likely see banwaves in the future too! But still Blizzard failed to detect & banwave Honorbuddy at the most critical moment in the last year - the Legion expansion launch in August 2016. (They still banwaved several other bots in August, which was explained as side-fire from Blizz attempts to detect Honorbuddy) So its up to you to bot with scare and wait banwave each evening, or watch your bot, doing stuff, while you hang around enjoying your life out of the keyboard.
If you got any doubt then xfer out all your chars. You'll save your characters and then you'll see if your account got flagged or not. Blizzard is unpredictable and botting in 2017 is like Russian roulette.
Several bans today, like this guy said, must be any relation with background.... I got banned all us/eu bots, different ips, different battlenet accounts, different pcs, all got banned.
Got nailed today, downloaded background last night. But I do not think they have any relation. It more had to do with my botting habits on that account. It was 24/7 BGs and WQ's trying to gear up where my other one was offline and no ban. So I would fair to venture, there is no relation.
Indeed 7.2 it's very near, this could be a good time to hold for a while and see if we can skip the next banwave, however, last time I did manage to "skip" the banwave...but after few months they got me, even if I didnt use anymore the bot, so yes it's just like Russian roulette.
Dont get Banned and Use HB since a month on the same battle.net account where my banned account is i dont run the battle.net client and try to provide manuell bans
Well the 7.2 is coming on 28 march...this time I will test this, stop botting till the banwave arrives and finger cross ,HB will not get detected . cheers
