I've been used kick's profile to level up using the kicks profile. I fell asleep on the keyboard, the bot kept resetting the twilight highlands entry quest at the Stormwind keep for like 6 hours. Got like 9 whisps telling me they've reported me. I haven't been banned yet apparently, but I can see the ban hammer falling on my head pretty soon. Is there any tip on how could I avoid being banned? I will stop using the bot on this account for good week at least, but I am 100% sure I will be flagged. I haven't got any warning on this account tho so I'm hoping to get 72 hours ban only. Any thoughts?
Not to be a douche or anything, but please post result as well. This is not really an exact science, and it is interesting to see what happens!
I will update the thread if anything happens. For now I'm only botting on one account at the moment and babysitting the bot.
Man, i would lay super low. No botting at all for a week for me if i got 9 whispers saying you have been reported.
Yeah, and I do suggest using a computer shut off timer for those nights where you accidentally fall asleep. I've done that before and there are a couple programs that have saved me from AFK botting excessively.
No update yet. However I have submitted a support ticket regarding ingame issue and the GM barely spoke to me. Not sure if it's just bad GM, or a consequence of my botting. And yeah, I've started to use windows scheduler to shut down the computer at 5 AM.
Stop telling the forum exactly what you are doing. Give us a round about could be /couldn't be situation. You don't know if anyone looking at this thread was anyone who whispered you. Just saying be careful, all it takes is one person to recognize a situation. Plus no one on here needs to know exactly what happened in any situtation. Example : Hey guys I feel asleep and left my 4 bots questing in the same area, they were all running into the wall. Who knows if someone else botting recognized my toons doing this, they now know who I am.
I understand your point, but I doubt anyone would be able to recognize me. I could be from the EU, US, China. It's not worth searching for me even if Blizzard employees are watching this forum, which I'm pretty sure they are. Can you imagine how many reports are Blizzard employees getting every day? Linking this forum post to any ingame activity would be near impossible and not worth it. I'm a really small fish comparing to other botters.
