I'm going to make a couple more WoW accounts and try out multiboxing (with my main +2 trials), and if all goes well I'll upgrade the trial accounts. However, I am quite a noob at this kind of thing and would like to know what multiboxing software you think I should buy. I am willing to spend some money, but hopefully not too much. I have heard good things about keyclone, however I am not sure if it is the best one out there, nor how user friendly it is. Any advice?
isboxer. its miles ahead of keyclone, and IIRC, keyclone hasn't had an update in over a year if not 2 years. check it out at lavishsoft.com
PwnBoxer is pretty awesome, and easy to use. And the mouse broadcasting feature works pretty awesome! (And is very easy to set-up your macro's if you're creating them ingame) EDIT: like richarddoran mentioned ISBoxer is pretty good too, only a little harder to use imo. Tho, they do support LAN multiboxing, which is pretty awesome if you're going to use multiple computers. And they also do trials (or did). Tho, if you're using 1 PC i recommend PwnBoxer.
Why would it need an update aa?? There is no bugs or anything in the software. its perfect.. Use Keyclone.. Its the best.-
Keyclone never had it working correctly since the battle.net transition, so if you multiboxed with accounts with different battlenet emails, it was a huge PITA. Keyclone is very basic, it does its job well, but basic is as basic does. It doesn't have usable mouse passing, it doesn't have good window swapping, and there are many more I'm not thinking of now.
I used keyclone for a long time, it was good during that era. However, pwnboxer is working quite well now and the mouse broadcasting feature is neat. Pwnboxer is simple to setup and easy to use, doesn't use much resources and is updated often. ISboxer is ahead, but requires more config as previously stated. Pwnboxer doesn't offer any trials though. In keyclone the window switching and general reactions/performance between the clients was seeming 'clunky' and laggy compared to pwnboxer. The difference was noticeable.
I use keyclone. But just used the basics of it. Never used it all. Only ever played 2-3 accounts same time using jamba and simple macros. Have used keyclone few years now. Stopped multiboxing when started botting. Never tried the others but if was going to get another would be ISBoxer.
Could someone add my msn or something and help me setup? Via teamviewer or something. I'm having difficulties.
With multi-boxing? You do realise there is a multi-boxing forum with a very helpful community? www.dual-boxing.com
Ah, right thanks I'll take a look. Although I did google a few of the issues I'm having with no avail. I seem to get on fine when running 1 other boxxer, but when I go for 2 I run into a ton of issues.
Without knowing the specifications of your PC; one of the most frequent issues people face when multi-boxing is inadequate hardware. WoW uses a lot more resources now than it used to "back in the day". Depending on what multi-boxing software you've gone with in the end, they all have very good support forums. IS Boxer has an IRC channel with some very smart people online.
The specs of my PC are definitely not the issue, it's a relitively new custom built PC and it doesn't seem to be any kind of hardware issue. What I mean is, things like the target focus constantly changing, the mouse disappearing when I move it onto my second monitor whilst running pwnboxer etc.
It would have been smarter to PM the guy instead of publicly posting in the forum. We do not allow trading on this forum.
Unfortunately I have not used PWN Boxer since very early beta so I can't offer any advice on this. I know they have a support forum, it would be a good idea to post there.
