for over 10 years of WoW, bliz prohibit gold selling for RL currency. and selling/buying gold gonna get u banned. Now they want to introduce game-time token, where player can buy with real money and sell it in game to other players for gold! so it will be legit to buy gametime with gold! seriously? as u may know MOST of us have ALOT of gold. I want to see this coming so I can play for free and buy game-time from the suckers. what are your thoughts? wouldn't this encourage more botters? u still will not able to trade gold for real money. but at least i'd be getting $15 a month......
Old news but yeah I don't think this will affect the majority of the hb community negatively since most of the people who tried to make a living selling gold gave up either due to the dungeonbuddy bans, gatherbuddy bans of mop, the fact that gathering is useless now, or simply because the gold price has tanked. Most people nowadays seem to bot for a little exta cash on the side or are QoL botters who use the bot to grind rep, mats for raiding, pvp gear, CRs, or personal gold for a shiny BMAH/TCG mount. Honestly it is probably more appeasing to the average botter now. The game is getting pretty stale and not worth the $15 a month, at least this way we wont have to pay anything Gold sellers still in the game now may have it rough. Blizz will most likely target them more now than ever since Blizz will be in direct competition with gold sellers.
do you really think that will be blizz give up the 13EUR per month?if you look at how many subscribers.. Maybe talking about but I think that will not waive the profits...
The game time is still being paid for, just somebody else is paying for it now. You may trade your surplus gold for game time but somebody still paid EUR/USD for that game time. This also creates the chance of people buying more game time tokens to get more gold rather than buy from a gold site. Which leads to people stockpiling game time even though its not being used. People will be paying for services that have yet to be rendered and have a chance not to be used at all.
