Blizzard Account Management reps (in emails) AND support staff (over the phone) have told me that they do NOT flag hardware in this way.

They consider once a permanent punishment is handed out - thats job done. If you were to buy more wow accounts, you're no more at risk than anyone else. However, you'd be pretty stupid to just buy another account a bot straight away on it ;)

It sounds like you been banned due to several actions you undertook together.

The big one I think the fact you botted for several days straight (24/7). Which is a massive red flag as humans need to sleep, eat and have bio breaks.

For your more resent bans the reuse of your V.PPNN has likely attracted their attention again. Particularly if it has the same IP or if it's a service and others have also been detected botting with it.

A spontaneous question from curiosity. What are the options for when the hardware is flagged ID?

      Easy. They don't do it.

The best they do with IPs is check to see if it matches your "normal play location". Meaning they are seeing if you are botting or if your account was hacked and then botted by the hacker(s).

The never ban by Mac Address because they simply don't have that information (it's illegal for them to even try). The don't use Hardware ID because, again, it can't identify a person, is easy to change and again is illegal for them have/use.

That type of information (MAC addresses, HWIDs) is strictly personal data, and it's highly confidential. Because of this if Blizzard would even gather and/or use it against you, aka for identifying all the clients ran on your machine, they will break a lot of International and US federal laws in the process.

Botting accounts being banned is literally ALWAYS related to unsafe practices by the botter. This can be as simple as accounts being linked via in-game transactions with accounts selling gold/botting. Excessive time periods of botting (like 24/7). Or botting "stupid things" like BGs, which can be quite obvious and is likely to have people report you. Or if you bot obvious or well known routes or areas. Even when we have tripwire events some people will still keep botting depsite it not being considered 'safe'.

      Orly?

Do you have some kind of upper knowledge that the rest of the botting community do not? How can you dare to make such an amount of Bullshit statements? (here, that's an opinion of mine.I don't claim it as the one and only truth).

The amount of stupidity in this forum will never cease to surprise. Wow.

That's a very good idea. It's quite worse to use a public ***, even a Private but previously used one, than using your home Ip.
Logic has that Blizzard knows the IP range that most commonly used *** providers assign, and if they check for those IPs, you would be instantly flagged for investigation. Even locked out of your account just because you used a *** / *****. That has happened to me , and many other people, before. They simply claim those IPs are often used by gold sellers, bot farmers and such and they frequently ban all accounts using them.

Which is in itself illegal. They are assuming you are doing something against their ToS just because you share your Ip with people who often do. Assumin you're guilty. But, as with the other "illegal" stuff people say they cant do , go ahead and start a legal process against a company with a huge amount of lawyers, some of which earn more in a year than what we'll make in our lifetime. Let's see if justice is blind!

It isn't illegal...legality in online games is nil. They can't read keystrokes or do anything malware like, but they sure as heck CAN check hardware ids and ban based on IP. Its their game, their servers, and their rules. Just as much as a forum can ban you for whatever they want...a judge WILL side with the server owner as you agree to their rules on signup and login. If hardware ids were illegal then no software can be hardware Id bound.

Seeing a ton of misinformation here....

Let me guess... you have used a public pro....xy for your accounts? If yes, thats why you got banned 100% sure.

I Got banned on a account that I never bottet on, on a computer I never bottet on, with a internet connection I never bottet on. (But I used that system to play by hand for some months)
One day, the only thing I did was that I forgot to deactivate a prox....y which I used that day to access some youtube stuff.

I just logged in, noticed it, logged out and didn`t log in anymore.

After a few hours I got the ban... The email took another few hours and sounded like "your acc is banned for gold selling, abuse of econemy bla bla" I contacted a gm and he told me that my account was accessed from a computer or IP adress that is known for gold selling and my account was automatically closed for safety reasons because it appears to be hacked.

He resetted my password, gave me some safety advise and I got it back without any suspension.
