Bashiok posted Blizzard's plans to disable the ability for mods like AVR to exist, as of 3.3.5:

Will this have any effect on us? Link to source

      Why would it affect GB/HB?!

They are basically "disabling" AVR addon.
Nothing to do with bots :)

Yes i did, i even re-read it to make sure just now :)

The whole thing is talking about "visualizing" strategy and whatnot.

If you're talking about this part :

The "mods" they are talking about are "Addons" , i don't see how would that affect us

GB/HB doesn't do ANY visualization in wow, so nothing will change.

But then again.. i'm not a programmer, what i said is just common sense :)

No but doesn't HB/GB read coords sent from the game client?

I doubt they are going to change the coords or anything like that...

That would basically fuck up most of the addons.
They will just disable the addons' ability to "render" 3d figures ingame. Most likely.

Read the patch notes... they are all right in there...

The Chat changes will have it's affect (but can be disabled?).... some LUA stuff is getting blocked (however AVR changes don't affect HB, cause it doesn't add anything visually).
A more interesting subject will be reversing the patch... changes are "quite high" that at least 1 bot (doesn't have to be a buddy) or hack will have a detection method in it.
