      How does this affect Honorbuddy?
      ===========================================================

      17 Oct 2013 by Paul Younger on incgamers.com

      Over the years there has been so many different bots to automate actions in World of Warcraft and other Blizzard games but Blizzard has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to cheating in their games.

      Today there?s another victory for the Blizzard legal team as they successfully took down Ceiling Fan Software who have are now facing a judgment of $7 million and the immediate deactivation of all licenses as well as being forbidden to open-sourcing the software. In other words, the software has to be completely disabled.

      If you follow Blizzard games then you may remember Blizzard?s long legal wrangling with the Glider bot creators in which Blizzard eventually came through with Glider being deemed to have infringed the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

      With this latest case taking more than two years to conclude, Blizzard continue to show they are serious about stopping cheating. New bots will come and go so it?s going to be a continual challenge for Blizzard.

      There are 2 things to remember about this case:

      1. The only companies that they've won against are US based companies. They already tried this with Bossland in Germany and succeeded in having the bot removed from sale in DE, but that doesn't affect users outside of DE.

      2. This battle took over 2 years, which shows just how inefficient the US court system is and how long a bot may stay live after a lawsuit comes to fruition.

      Imo if Bli$$ard could take down the buddy team they would by know.

      After all Buddies bots are famous every soul knows about them. So this would make them a big target for blizzard. But hey they did not manage to shut it down for years now. I think that there was a case open even in wrath. And besides Germany was chosen for official base of operation because of their laws.

      P.S. btw never heard of this other bot.
      P.S. makes sence that they won against the other bot if its based in Murica. They kiss big corperation ass there and screw the normal guy.

      I wonder how is that guy gonna pay 7mil.

      Haha, this is somewhat funny to see them die. I know of that site (will not mention it) and used their bot on trial periods they offered. They claimed it was fully passive in its WoW botting operations, but the sneakiest die over too.
