I was just surfing the WOW forums and came across a post that had a link to someones blog about some of the bots that have been showing up in bgs. When people bot without paying attention to what their bot is doing it brings much more notice to the rest of us. The post on the forums http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/8480648047?page=1#3 and their blog post http://pinkdevilfish.blogspot.com/2013/03/new-pvp-companion-pets.html really point out what happens when people just let a bot run unattended. Right now the BGBuddy is not working correctly. You can fix this to some extent by downloading the honor buddy beta. But please supervise your bot.
... apparently you do not run many BGs. It is a cluster fuck. A giant, herpes infested, cluster fuck. Do not bot bgs. End.
Aye, BG's are really the only thing I actually still 'enjoy' doing, but they are not enjoyable when there are 7 bots on each team, in each BG, at all times of day and night.
When I bot BG's I watch my bot and mostly just do AV on AV CTA. When someone has a good CC a bot often outplays most of the people in a bg. My toons often top the dmg and kills in bgs when running BG Buddy. The problem is people just letting their bot run unsupervised.
Can't always blame it on the player. I sit in front of it all the time as I work from home and have eyes on it. I watch it do some incredibly dumb things like following the FC around a room with a healer who is also botting. After I saw this I turned it off and went outside the building and about 2 minutes later the FC /bg 'Nice, my healer is a bot' which took him long enough to figure out. The stupid thing was following him at < 10 yards through the whole room. No combat. Nothing. Just following the guy bouncing around. And then there is the pattern of every toon running the exact same direction doing roundabouts and bouncing back and forth between objectives. Is it impossible to code it so it plays node defense when the last one there? I'm certain this is how a lot of nodes empty out.
