Hello fellow botters I would need some hardware suggestions for a good multi botting rig... First of all its not for WoW! I've tested the game and it runs ok with a bot on a dual core cpu (2.5ghz but 3ghz is better) and new cheapest graphic card (like the ones with passive colling $30-40). It also works ok on the cheapest $30-40 dual core AMD APU which has integrated GPU and 4gigs of ram. That is with a limited FPS. The thing is that multi clients on the same PC or isboxer is out of the question because It needs to have seperate environment due to VPN, clicker apps and some other stuff... The requierment I have is also that the PC tends to be quiet. So no overclocking or stock cooling. I'll put the biggest 150mm Noctua cooler on the CPU if required and case open. I was looking at this i7 4770 CPU which only has 84W TDP with possibly 16gigs of ram to start with... Do I need a good GPU for VMWare or rather without it? Does VMWare even use the GPU in the PC or does somehow emulate it from CPU power? Ideal clients to run would be somewhere between 4-8 per PC all in a separate VMWare with 4gb of ram apointed to each guest. I fear that CPU would be the bottlneck if not I can always increase the ram to lets say 32gb or even 64gb if needed. Should I buy seperate HDD/SDD for each guest machine or not. Budget probably $600-1000 but more towards $600 if possible. Might get a used cpu+mobo and gpu if needed. FPS will be limited ofcourse and graphics the lowest. The machine will be dedicated just for multi botting. Your thoughts please...
my actual thoughts: Bot PC Preisvergleich | Geizhals Deutschland price bumped up 30€ the past 3 days but my goal is to multibot WoW GPU is more than enough for 20 WoW bots. dont know your game
2GB/VM i did not tested it but a mate is running this setup with 30€ GPU @ 25 accounts (i still dont know how to manage CPU load for 9+, see my thread ^^)
