What's surprised me the most from this ban is all the people who have claimed they've found more time for other things now that they're banned. I know there's no right or wrong way to do botting, but I thought for sure that botting was used so that busy people could spend less time playing.

I got into botting, because I simply didn't have the time to invest into WoW like I used to. For me, botting was finding a way to automate things so that I could invest time into other activities. Yet some folks are saying how they're spending more time with the kids, or trying out new games now that they're banned. What were you doing before when you were botting? Because that's how I botted. I loaded up the robot. Told it what to do, then alt tabbed and played other games, or I took the family out. Granted I only watched my robot like 10% of the time, mostly just to check if I've received random whispers or have gotten stuck.

I loved using Honorbuddy so much for this. The wife would want to watch a movie, or go out, and it was so easy to say yes, because I knew the robot would be productive (in some fashion) and that was an awesome feeling. Being able to stay competitive in Warcraft without investing the time into it.

So in all honesty, what did people use Honorbuddy for that required them to actually be at their game 80-100% of the time? What were people doing before that they don't do now that they're banned that has allowed them so much free time?

raid with guild and pugs :( with combat routine, otherwise just afk level alts which sometimes requires supervision due to stuck. (or just jump in my garrison)

for me, botting is a lot like watching home movies. ive already done those parts of the game by hand, and watching the bot finish those questing zones again is like going back in times, i can remember the good times i had with friends.

Yeah I botted so when I wanted to play I had all the gear/gold to join my friends in the raids and what not along letting my bot farm for us all so we did not have too. I saved so much time off WoW then I had ever done if by hand. Im still doing the same thing Working, Spending time with family, Going out just now days I dont have a bot running on my 2nd screen :(
