Hello all. I'm looking to build a new pc to run wow at mid-high settings running tyrael bot with at least 30 fps with framelock ON. My budget is $300-350. Is this possible? If so a parts list would be great. Im running wow right now on a computer I bought back in vanilla. Just being able to play wow isnt important but to have the framelock is I pretty much exclusively play wow but playing bf3 and far cry would be nice too
I don't think it's possible you need to have a more budget this because your requirements are very up to date so this thing require some money. Bartending Schools
Playing newer titles is not manditory at all. Is running the bot on top of WoW that demanding? Im running it with framelocks OFF on a 10 year old XPS right now.
For that price, you'd get 10 fps max on BF3 even at low settings. Double or even triple your budget before you invest.
What computer do ya have, is it up to date? I run HB on a plain vanilla 350 dollar machine from the box store 3 years ago. The only thing I did was put a reasonable graphics card in and some memory. Those will be your biggest road blocks. Depending on your board and CPU and Memory you could just update your vanilla one. The graphics card determines your max frame rate. I had to cut part of the graphics card off (the back part connects to the case) due to the form factor of the case and MB. The case has a 200 watt PS so I dont run any other crap with WOW and HB running. Make sure the card will not overload your PS. Good luck with your build.
I would say save just a little more. for around $400-$500 you can honestly get a good computer at like walmart. they all come with like 6-8gp of ram. dual cores or better. that's all you really need. Thats what my computer is and I got it about 4 years ago and the only thing i ever did was upgrade the graphics card about 3 years ago and i can run wow on max settings.
Im running an old dell XPS gaming rig thats nearly 8-9 years old atm. I bought the computer to originally play wow back in vanilla.
No dude that's won't do much of work you need to invest more to get a one time build for future gaming and all...
if you go AMD, you can get a FM2 board, and a A10, or even A6 APU. that has on chip graphics, and that should be good enough to do some botting and some light 720p gaming. thats well do'able for under $350 provided you dont need a monitor, keyboard, mouse. and go for a cheap case.
